A must do for first time travellers to South Korea! - Edit
This was easily a highlight on our Seoul trip! As a first time traveller to South Korea, my partner and I found it quite difficult to find vegan food, especially when it came to traditional Korean food.

The servings were incredibly generous, and getting to experience the bustling Gwangjang Market without fear of a dietary slip up was fantastic.
An absolute must do experience for those wanting to try traditional South Korean dishes!

It’s pretty difficult to eat vegan in Korea without an insider’s support. Jungho was brilliant. He clearly understands the priorities for people who eat vegan and our interest in tasting authentic Korean meals. A must-do!

I cannot do this tour justice. It was outstanding! I have never been on a vegan food tour ANYWHERE that is this good, and it was performed in one of the more difficult countries to find vegan food (in my experience). Jungho does a fantastic job, gives you a great variety, makes sure that you are well-fed (SHOW UP HUNGRY), and performs all the research needed to get you vegan options for authentic Korean cuisine. He also shows you some Korean cultural aspects, and is generally just a great guide and a wonderful person. This tour is one-of-a-kind. You CANNOT go to Seoul and miss this tour!

Lovely guide for Korean night market - Edit
Jungho is a thoughtful and expert guide. He wove our group through one of the busiest food markets in Seoul. Everything went smoothly. I liked that we got to interact with some of the cooks as well. We didn't have to worry as all food was vegan, culturally and traditionally accurate, and delicious. Come hungry. Leave full! We even got drinks and desserts which was more than I expected.

It is so difficult to find veggie or vegan food in Seoul, Jungho shows us some diamonds. He was a wonderful guide, really interested in his group and a funny dude. The food was also awesome and for me as non alcoholic he made an exception and brought an additional rice drink for everyone.

Read moreI can’t say enough good things about the Gwangjang tour with Jungho. This food market is very famous and high energy. It’s one of the things I was looking forward to experiencing when I wanted to visit Korea, but being vegan is challenging as a traveler. Jungho has spent a lot of time and energy into cultivating relationships with the vendors at Gwangjang in order to make this vegan tour relaxing and non-competitive with other tourists. I was very impressed with how much he invested in making this tour smooth and enjoyable. If you are vegan and want to visit Gwangjang, the price is worth it 100%.

I am cabin crew and come to Seoul often - I have just found my new Korean addiction besides skincare! It’s not easy being vegan in Korea and Jungho did all the work to ensure we can feast. Jungho is knowledge and caring: if water was shared for boiling dumplings, he’d ask if you are ok or would like to skip. Come hungry! Leave absolutely happy!

For anyone who finds it challenging to get vegan Korean food in Seoul, YOU MUST GO ON THIS TOUR. Jungho was not joking when he said “come hungry”. I would recommend a light snack and saving your appetite for some really good food. Jungho was so great. His personal touches did not go unnoticed.

MUST tour for vegans in Korea! - Edit
I'm writing this review after my 2 week trip to South Korea, and let me tell you - it is not the easiest country for vegans and vegetarians which makes this tour incredible for the veg traveler.

Unique local experience - Edit
We got to try out eleven local specialties that have been painstakingly vetted by our guide to be free of animal based ingredients, including 3 alcohols (optional) and 2 desserts. We learned about each dish, some related history, as well as some local table manners. There was more than enough food, and we had an opportunity to get extras of anything. We also go to take leftovers with us. Our guide was friendly, attentive and happy to answer any questions.

Jungho was a knowledgeable and affable guide who has spent a lot of time and money tracking down vegan dishes in this 98% carnivorous society. As well as sourcing delicious food for us he also shared some fascinating insights into Korean etiquette, including why they use metal chopsticks. Even as a teetotaller I enjoyed learning about Korean drinking rituals. This is a “grazing” tour involving moving from restaurant to restaurant to sample one dish each, which is a nice way for the guests to chat and mingle in a semi-social setting. You may even make new friends.
Read moreOne warning though: be sure not to have lunch before this tour (and it might be wise to cancel dinner plans) as you will be extremely well fed, plus most of the establishments you visit will offer you second helpings.
All in all I very highly recommend this experience to vegans and vegetarians (even meat-eaters might enjoy it).

It was not my first time in Korea and this tour was totally worth it. We (re)discovered food we had not dared to try before knowing that Jungho had spent so much time preparing the tour to make sure all the food was vegan and not too spicy for my 8-year old son and my dad. Jungho was super friendly, informative, very caring of my son and my dad, and the food he had selected were really delicious. Just make sure you don’t eat before since there is a lot of food on the menu 😋

This was an amazing tour. Jungho was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We arrived early, and Jungho was already waiting with a bottle of water for each of us. Best of all, we did not spend any time waiting in lines and there was very little waiting time when we were seated.
Read moreThere was plenty of food with a great variety and exposure to different traditional Korean dishes. By the fourth stall, I could not finish the servings and each time Jungho said there was plenty more if we needed.
An entertaining host with lots of information about Korea.
Highly recommend this tour, and it is definitely worth doing if you're looking to eat vegan food at the markets.

Without doubt, the BEST vegan food tour you will ever do. We’ve done many many tours in many many cities and this was by far, the best. Our host was so prepared and catered for everything and everyone’s likes and dislikes. He had done so much research to prepare this tour. And we literally had a table waiting for us every time and jumped the queue. Everything was prepared hot and ready. Very slick operation and worth every cent. Not to mention, the nicest guy. Sincerely thank you. Loved it. Will be back for dinner tomorrow 😁
