Best lunch on entire trip - Edit
Amazing food. We tried to get a table several times after we ate lunch there, but place was fully booked in advance. Seems we were lucky to get a table the first time.

Wonderful soups - Edit
Located in the old town in a very old and historical building. The interior still managed to feel modern and chic while it at the same time felt old and cozy.
Read moreThe staff was helpful and service minded. The main courses were great. I had the grilled tempeh, the sauces was what made the meal while the tempeh was relatively plain (it's hard if not impossible to make a non-plain tempeh). The highlight were the pumpkin soup.
While the food was great we did have to wait quite a while to get it. It wasn't a problem for us since we ordered a starter aswell as coffee before. But I imagine it can be problematic if you're really hungry.
Also we were lucky and got a table when we just showed up. But since we sat at the door we noticed a lot of people came in and were turned down since the place was full and they hadn't booked in advance. This was lunch time on a Saturday. So remember to book a table!
Pros: Pumpkin soup, The sauces, The bathroom was interesting
Cons: Had to wait quite a bit for our food, , Not easy to get a seat when not booking, Have to wait a bit

Excellent vegan soup - Edit
Seems to be very popular, we did not get a table in the evening. Therefore, I recommend to make a reservation. We tried the pumpkin soup and borscht. Both were very well flavored. The bread was extremely good. Lunch of the other guests looked also super delicious and was nicely decorated. Very cozy atmosphere inside and nice location in the oldtown.

Second time here - Edit
This was our second time in Tallinn and in Restoran V. The place was actually one of the main reasons for our trip.
Read moreRestoran V doesn't disappoint, if you manage to book a table well in advance.
I still think this is one of the best all vegan restaurants I've ever been to. The flavours are very sophisticated and you can really tell that the chef has put a lot of thought in the dishes.
A definite recommendation!
Pros: exquisite flavours, good variety of dishes, location
Cons: hard to get a table

Can't say much about the food but....... - Edit
We never got to eat here as it was totally booked up for the whole time that we were there, in the middle of a cold winter. I'd hate to see how crowded it gets in the busy time. So I am assuming that this is perhaps a sign of how good it is, although most people seemed to be foreigners, not locals, so maybe not. I would most definitely advise to book up well in advance (Perhaps send them an email?!) if you want to try it out. But be prepared, it's expensive. So needless to say, I cannot comment on the food.....but I can comment on what experience I did have.
Read moreIt is definitely one of the most central restaurants in Tallinn, let alone the most central vegan restaurant. It is only a stone's throw from the central town square.
We went in to check it out and ask about getting a table. The waiter was a bit abrupt with us when we didn't have a reservation. He also informed us that they were totally booked up until after we were gone. Although the place looks good, it did look a bit on the posh side. Maybe our 'mountain-men look' wasn't quite up to their standards. As two other more sophisticated vegans that we had met later on told us, it was 'a bit pretentious' and 'looks better than it is'. However they did say the food was quite nice but also quite expensive.
So, from our experience, it's very central, looks nice, opens late, staff is a bit abrupt, looks quite posh, told it's pretentious and a bit expensive.
Pros: Very central, Opens late
Cons: Booked up all the time, A bit pricey

Great restaurant - Edit
Tucked away in the new town, this restaurant’s ambience matches the location; small and elegant. I ate here alone comfortably, but it is a perfect venue for a slow meal with a partner or friends. The food was inquisitive without loosing its focus on flavour and texture. Well balanced mixtures of colour and textures, I simply cannot fault any of the meal. The wine matched the food in quality, and the service was relaxing discrete. The news about this place has spread:: there were a few couples with no reservations unfortunately turned away, and this on a cold and damp Tuesday evening. Go along and enjoy, but only when you have the time to appreciate it.

Interesting - Edit
Good value for interesting dishes. We had tried to get into dinner twice bit it was fully booked. When we made it for lunch we found the descriptions of the meals did not quite translate to what was served. Beetroot ravioli with Cashew nut cheese, was beetroot thinly sliced and served with the cashew nut cheese between the slices. It was a satisfying entree but not at all what I expected.

Perfect - Edit
Visited twice once in summer and once in winter, both times were amazing. Definitely recommend the beet seitan, it was one of the best vegan dishes I have tasted. Deserts are also very good. If you ever come across to tiramisu cake, just order it, it was one of the best cakes. Staff is also lovely and friendly.

Great value for your money - Edit
Very nice food, great location. I tried "fish" burger and it came with oven baked sweet potato chips and cheese sauce (I asked later waitress what it is made of - oat cream). My boyfriend tried saitan tacos served with guacamole. Both meals were amazing and portions were huge. Even though my boyfriend is not vegan, but he loved his meal - as he said it was not too spicy and flavourful. For a drink we took latvian dark lager, which also was really nice and perfectly complimented with our food.

amazing vegan place - Edit
I had the fish burger, and it wasnt the best burger I've had just because I don't Love dill and that fishy taste that dill gives food. I thought it would be more of a "fish n chips" burger with a fried patty but It was more of a veggie party with alot of flavours and sweet potato fries. It was good though! My mom had the zuchinni noodles with pesto and they were soooo delicious, and my dad and brother had the vegan tacos. THEY WERE AMAZING. Tasted just like regular beef & cheese filled tacos with amazing guac! For dessert we had matcha latte and oreo cheesecake. That was the best cheesecake Ive ever had! Super flavourful and perfect! You have to Go there if you're in Tallinn!
