Great Ramen - Edit
This casual, completely vegan ramen restaurant is on the first floor of a hostel. At this time it's only open on the weekends.
Read moreI ordered the Tokyo Shoyu ramen, which was described as a more traditional ramen. The base was a mushroom broth, intensely flavored. Received a few cut up red onions and a slice of tomato with it but no other veggies. I ordered separately the tofu. I also got a side of edamame which was grilled rather than the usual steamed. The grilling gave it a very smokey and delicious flavor!
The cost for these three items was 200 pesos, about $10 US. It was maybe a slight bit expensive but delicious. I'll definitely go back to try the other items.

I got the TanTan, my partner got the traditional Shoyu. Both were really good, the broth and noodles were awesome. I wanted to try the "chicken", but the ramen was enough for me.

Very good ramen - Edit
A must for fans of ramen. Everything we ordered was full of flavours. We tried two different ramen dish and the orange ginger flavoured chicken (soy), and we all loved it. The service was quick and very friendly. They even modified a ramen dish to make it gluten free for a celiac sufferer in our group. Will definitely be coming back.

No more crispy bites? - Edit
This place has been one of my favorite vegan spots in P.V. I am sure all of their ramen dishes are still delicious, I was just quite disappointed that they REMOVED my favorite menu item, the "Korean crispy bites"

Beautiful ramen - Edit
The ramen is absolutely beautiful but I was quite disappointed to find that none of the side dishes were available. I was looking forward to trying the different chicken options but none were available and by the looks of the menu they hadn’t been for a while.

This ramen was so good we got one to go and have later! The staff was interested to know where we heard about them and I was happy to report it was from HappyCow! The waitress we had was very nice which just adds to a full vegan menu.

Awesome Ramen in Puerto Vallarta - Edit
We went to PVR for Thanksgiving weekend and Happy Cow saves the day again. Vegan Ramen Mei is in the lobby of a hostel. We walked in and were served by a friendly smiling waiter. We ordered the homemade ginger ale, which was ginger, cane sugar, and carbonated water. This was delicious - never had a ginger ale like that! For an appetizer we ordered the 1/2 order of korean soy chicken. The taste and texture were spot on! For our main course, we ordered the Tokyo Shoyu and the Shibuya Mazeman. The Tokyo Shoyu was an explosion of flavors with veggies, bean sprouts, bok shoy, corn, nori in a super tasty sauce. The Shibuya Mazeman was a bowl without the broth. Very umami with a mushroom paste, veggies, panuts, avocado, nori, and more. SO SO tasty. Didn't have room for dessert, but we're definitely going back next time!

Delicious Food. Friendly Staff! - Edit
After a long flight and being a little out of it, I was looking for something close to where I was staying. I decided to try out Ramen Mei. After I was seated, the server came over and as soon as I opened my mouth, she left to get me a menu in English. Being tired, I really appreciated that. I wasn't ready for full Spanish.
