Vegan People's Kitchen
Once a month or so volunteers gather at Kinning Park Complex to prep and cook food, and serve a cheap, vegan meal. Check its facebook page for details, and get there early if you go as food runs out quickly. Volunteers are reimbursed from proceeds and get their meal free.

Fun vegan community project - Edit
I've volunteered with the project off and on for about a year. There's a tasting session a week or so before the event where people bring food and we select dishes to make. It might be £3.50 for three courses or £3 for two. Previous dishes have included pineapple & banana curry, cupcakes, carrot hot dogs, apple crumble, and hummus and salads. Generally about 30 people come each month and it gives volunteers the opportunity to meet new people, learn new recipes, and improve their cooking skills. Its aim it to show how cheap, easy and creative vegan food can be. Food does tend to go quickly though so don't be too late! Sometimes there is surplus dessert or side dishes and free seconds are available. You can BYOB.
