Great project

This is such a lovely project: Volunteers cook a vegan 3-course meal and everybody can participate for a donation with the recommended amount being a mere 3.50 pounds. The food was lovely and the atmosphere and setting was even better: One large table where everybody ate and could get to know each other. I wish there were more projects like this in Glasgow!

Pros: Great atmosphere, Tasty food, Lovely people

Fun vegan community project

I've volunteered with the project off and on for about a year. There's a tasting session a week or so before the event where people bring food and we select dishes to make. It might be £3.50 for three courses or £3 for two. Previous dishes have included pineapple & banana curry, cupcakes, carrot hot dogs, apple crumble, and hummus and salads. Generally about 30 people come each month and it gives volunteers the opportunity to meet new people, learn new recipes, and improve their cooking skills. Its aim it to show how cheap, easy and creative vegan food can be. Food does tend to go quickly though so don't be too late! Sometimes there is surplus dessert or side dishes and free seconds are available. You can BYOB.
