Vegan Nirvana

Delicious. Friendly workers. Quality food.

I usually find it difficult to leave full from a vegan restaurant (unless I'm willing to spend $30), but after eating one of their entrees (Deep Sea Meditation) I was stuffed! I tried my grandmas entree and it was equally delicious! I'll definitely be back.

This place was awesome. Really good flavors, solid portions, and speedy food prep and service. We got:

Sweet potato fries: Really good texture, came out super fast, and the vegan ranch was great.

Garden of Eden salad: HUGE SALAD! I'm so rarely impressed by the size of a salad at a restaurant. Super good, and the mock chicken on top was amazing flavor and texture-wise.

Chicken tenders: Solid.

Fish tacos: Crazy good.

The blt was so good. Our wonderful server Will really talked up the mock bacon. We had the fake shrimp to share as well. So yummy! Also ordered both of their cheesecakes! Made with love. Took the chocolate one to go, the strawberry one was great.

Vegan Nirvana has a limited number of dishes, but each one is excellent and special and we have tried every dish on the menu except the fish tacos. This restaurant has some of the best vegan dishes in the area. The restaurant décor is an attraction and the place is unique in its atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I went to Vegan Nirvana and witnessed a very distasteful nature program playing on the restaurant's TV screen, but I'd chalked it up to an anomaly. Not so, it seems, according to the other reviewers here.

I'm not sure whether no one has mentioned this to the owner, or whether it's something deliberate, but it should make any diner very uncomfortable: vegan or no.

The server seemed very disinterested in me, and all of the conflicting religious figures that adorn the walls did nothing to make me feel welcome.

The BLT that I ordered was nothing special.

I absolutely loved this place! I ordered a BBQ Chikn Stirfry and I enjoyed every single bite of the dish! The menu is pretty small, but the dishes are really tasty!

A must try if you are trying to convince someone you know to go vegan or vegetarian!

only ate here once but it was ridiculously delicious, mock chicken was so good and veggies were perfectly cooked.

The mock blt with dairy free ranch was seriously amazing! My daughters even ate some and they are not sold on vegan meat substitutes normally! The price was a little high could easily be shared if you added a side. Fun and refreshing beverages as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Definitely going back soon.

This is a great vegan lunch spot. The menu is full of sammiches, wraps, fries, just great lunch foods.

The names are really hard to remember so I just won't even try, but I will tell you things that make me happy about this place.

Chik'n lettuce wraps served with the "1,000 island dressing" is amazing the flavors blend so well and trust me when I tell you it is better as left overs the net day.

BLTA was one of the best I have had, the bread was fresh, the veggies were crisp and fresh and the bakon was just the right amount of bakoney.

Sweet potato fries and great cooked perfect that they are crisp on the outside and not over seasoned. Oh and I love the chipotle dipping sauce I want the recipe it is so good I want to eat it on everything.

the chik'n wrap is really good as well. So far I have not had anything that I haven't enjoyed.

ohh and the desserts, the cheesecakes I have had the chocolate and the berry. next time I think I want to share one of each with the table I bet they would combine beautifully,

The ambiance is chill and the staff is super friendly and helpful as I have found to be the case with most vegan places.

Had their tacos- 4 hearty fishless tacos with a very spicy chipotle sauce (beware if you're sensitive to spicy foods). Good flavor.
Sweet potato fries are delicious, but a bit overpriced.

Seriously can't go wrong with Vegan Nirvana. Open late AND their dishes are so delicious. Definitely a good spot to bring friends and family that want to try a plant-based diet. Great staff, too!

Loved this place! Food was super fresh and home cooked flavor with love. Owner super aware chef very nice great fun atmosphere. Portions are big really think it's one of the best in Orange County

This was my first time at Vegan Nirvana and it was awesome! The server was super nice and the food was great. I love that they cook with water instead of oil too!

I've been eating here for some time now and without fail the food has been on point which is a little difficult for most mom an pop type restaurants,especially having 3-4 different chefs.the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about there craft.not to mention the decor is an awesome collective of local artists. thank you for helping me convert over to veganism with such ease. This place is definitely doing it right!!!!!

I come to Vegan Nirvana pretty often for someone who lives in LA. My favorite dish is the Kingdom of God, it has so much flavor in every bite. All of the dishes that I've tried are very filling for the price and the staff is always nice. The decor is cool and unique and they have books available for reading. I love Vegan Nirvana. (:

My boyfriend and I went here for a date night and ordered the fish tacos, fries, and shrimp dish with the jack fruit limeade as a drink. Everything was just a little too spicy and not too special otherwise. The Jack fruit limeade was amazing and left me craving it for weeks but unfortunately the food was nothing to rave about. Also atmosphere wise I feel there was trouble sticking with one theme. as a self proclaimed hippie I was excited purely by the name of this joint but going in there's just too much going on. Also, when we were there, a nature doc was playing on the massive flat screen they have propped up and it featured predators hunting prey which was a little off-putting while trying to enjoy vegan food. With all this said I do want to revisit and try something different to see if maybe we just ordered the wrong things. But for sure, check this place out and see how you like it!

As a meatasaurus my taste buds were treated to some of the most flavorful and textured vegan foods I could ever have imagined. After eating hot dogs and popcorn at the cheap movies, I felt cleansed by Vegan Nirvana's food! My small party sampled the no-chick stix, the Kingdom of God stir-fry, the very refreshing blueberry limeade, and the blueberry cheesecake thing.

Scotty was the best staff we interacted with--his big smile and happy personality were welcoming. And the dancing cow was definitely a wacky highlight!

Although I can appreciate the health benefits of vegetarian and vegan diets, too many of these foods are often lacking in innovation, taste, and texture. But Vegan Nirvana got it all right! Well done!

This is the best vegan food I've had in a very long time--even the omnivores that were with me loved the food. We ordered Divine Eternity, Ultimate Liberation, The Light Keeper, Humble Warrior, and Selfless Savior and we ate every bite of it too! I will definitely go back.

I had seen the reviews on Yelp for this place, I think there are like 200+ reviews for it and it has 5 stars. I had to check for myself! It's a bit pricy, but the food is phenomenal, in fact, I haven't had vegan meals that were this delicious. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd be here all the time

This place is awesome! I stopped to grab dinner before a rehearsal and had never been there before but so glad I decided to try it. The Egoless Wrap and Blueberry Cheesecake are to die for. The owner is so nice and funny. The decor is mesmerizing!

Awesome place to stumble upon for some hungry vegans... The bizarro decor and alien theme was odd but different. Most importantly - delicious food. Fish tacos were oh-so good

I love the vibe in this place when I have time to sit there for a meal. The staff are always friendly and the food is GREAT! It's out of my way to pick up lunch here before work, but it is well worth it! The BLT and Ultimate Liberation fishless tacos are my favorites. Portions are big enough to share or split into two meals. Great place!

First visit, easy to find, good parking, not far off the 405. The decor is definitely funky, but creative and welcoming. It's clean & the staff are friendly and helpful.

Best part by far is the food. I had the Deep-Sea Meditation and is was tasty, crunchy and good. Ate half there & am having the rest for dinner! I'll definitely be back :-)

My favorite place to come. I always look forward to my next visit. All the food is phenomenal and affordable. I love it all. I've been to a few vegan restaurants and thos one wins overall. The cooks are the nicest and very talented. Everyone including non vegans need to try this place. I brought my omnivore fam and they liked it. This place is a blessing. The get it the food tastes better then the non vegan versions. Mind blowm at this place. This is my special place to go now.

Great food, good service, friendly staff!

The food here was so flavorful! Both my husband and I thought it was truly delicious, and we often have opposite tastes. I don't remember the exact names of the items, but we got a stir fry dish, lettuce cups, and blt and split them. I made two meals out of mine because the portions were quite generous. The interior was pretty too. We unanimously agreed we'll be coming back here regularly even though it's about a 30 minute drive. It is so worth it. Also the service was very friendly and easy parking right in front of the restaurant. Divine!

This is my new favorite restaurant in Huntington Beach! The food was well seasoned and portions were large. I would rate this place 5 stars for the food and excellent customer service!The chef was also very accommodating when I requested items be made oil-free.

This is my new favorite place!! Been there twice & each time, amazing!! I've tried the fish tacos, they are incredible. Also the pesto sandwich, so delicious, & big! They are generous w/ food for sure. The best sweet potato fries too. The service is extremely friendly & attentive. The decor & atmosphere is really creative. I'll continue to bring friends & family in. They've loved it too! Vegan or not, it's just great food!
