BEST Restaurant in Thailand?! - Edit
Wow! Just opened and already my Fav!
Read moreFirst of all the setting is just gorgeous- it’s an old colonial style house which was completely renovated. It has great history with the first female sculptor living in here. Now it is the most beautiful settings you can wish for - probably nice as dinner date as well!
The food is stunning! Wow - I am impressed - the Massaman Curry was not only presented nicely, it was also the best Curry I have had so far. Three types of Yam and also some delicious and crisp Thai Roti with it (still hot). As starters I had vegan pork in noddles wrapped and deep fried. Also delicious. They have lots of traditional Thai dishes veganized - I haven’t seen them anywhere else
Lovely service and so professional.
Drinks are refreshing. I usually drink coconut water a lot, but the coconut nectar juice was so interesting and delightful. Also had a welcome drink.
As cake they have raw cakes in three flavours and with a baked crispy bottom layer. I had coffee and it was rich and creamy! Stunning texture and not too sweet #Veganuary

Very good food, nice building - Edit
The menu is great with lots of interesting options to choose. The food was pretty good and not too expensive given the setting and waiting service. The appetiser platter was good fun although could have a bit more variety as it all feels quite heavy/fried. However I found the ambiance a bit dry and it felt a bit unnecessarily formal. I ended up booking a table for 7pm because there were no later available reservation slots but I don’t understand why as the restaurant was almost empty.

Awesome - not to.miss - Edit
The food was superb and gourmet, carefully prepared and spectacular. Everything about this place is not to.miss - decor, service, creativity. I eat vege worldwide and if you like Thai cuisine - with all the awesome Thai veges local! - then there is probably nothing better anywhere! And the prices are very modest. Check their website. (One caution- some of the most delicious options tens to hot, so ask.)

Elegant place with great food - Edit
Everything was really well thought out and nicely prepared. I especially recommend the soy chicken with vegetables and cashew nuts - it was absolutely delicious, and it’s worth ordering jasmine rice to go with it. I also highly recommend the green eggplant appetizer.

Best restaurant experience - Edit
This is a fully vegan restaurant classy enough to take out your best business clients and friends. In a historic private house once belonging to relatives of the royal family, the restaurant oozes with history and style and class, from the classic Thai dishes to the photos on the wall to the costumes of the servers to the decor of the house and garden. All courses are elegantly prepared and served. Service is entirely gracious. This is an experience as well as a meal. Take the time to enjoy it fully. Not overly expensive for what you get.

Cons: Offbeat location, Proximity to garden may expose to mosquitos, Some dishes are hard to eat with a fork and spoon

Worth a visit! - Edit
I went there for dinner and enjoyed the platter of various Appetizers. It was a lot and some pieces were even on the plate three times.
Read moreThen I ordered vegan pad Thai and my partner had a spicy dish.
Afterwards we enjoyed dessert, I can recommend mango sticky rice and toob tub cake.
You take off your shoes and wear slippers and get a bell to ring for the service. there are a variety of really delicious drinks like mango juice, lime mint water or Thai coffee / tea.
It was really delicious!!

Wow! - Edit
Can’t say enough good things about this place. First of all, it’s in a little side street off a busy road, located in a beautiful old teakwood house. Service is friendly and fast. And then the food, oh my.. we had two vegetable dishes: cabbage and the beans on the picture. They were both absolutely delicious, well seasoned yet delicate. And the Masaman curry with yams was amazing. Drinks also very good (watermelon juice without sugar! And ginger lime drink). For Thai standards maybe a bit pricey but absolutely worth every baht

The best in every way! - Edit
First, the food! I had the Khao soi. I’d never tried it before but had heard it was a good dish. Well, it was so flavorful and rich. Totally delicious! I requested low to medium spice level and it was perfect. Even the presentation was beautiful. It’s the cover photo for the restaurant on this website. I highly recommend it.
Read moreMy husband had the red curry with pineapple, lychees and shiitake mushrooms, medium spicy. We requested low sodium and both dishes were just right. Delicious also.
The service was impeccable, graceful and thoughtful. The server’s actions were precise. Even when he took our picture, he rearranged the table items for a more beautiful presentation.
The antique house is amazing and decorated with beautiful flowers. The music was quiet yet present. If we lived here we’d go back frequently.

Read moreIf you want to treat yourself to a truly special meal in Bangkok, Vegan Mahanakhon needs to be in your bucket list. The restaurant itself is stunning and located inside a beautifully restored 120-year-old teakwood house filled with fresh flowers.
The food is perfect. They focus on refined, traditional Thai cuisine. I highly recommend starting with the appetizer platter so you can try a bit of everything. In there, my favorites were the beautiful blue flower dumplings and the "chicken" wrapped in pandan leaves.
For mains, the stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts was simple but flavourful, and the Pad Thai was also spot-on as well.
Make sure you order dessert as well. Their mango sticky rice was one of the best I've had. They top it with thin slices of fresh coconut meat which adds this amazing texture to the sweet mango and creamy sticky rice. Although the price is on the higher-side for Bangkok, for the quality and the experience, it is absolutely worth it.
Pros: High quality Thai food, Stunning atmosphere inside a restored Thai house, Attentive and exceptional service
Cons: Price on the higher side, but worth it

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in the entire world. I would honestly fly to Bangkok just to eat here again — it’s that good. Every dish is bursting with flavor and beautifully presented.
Read moreDo yourself a favor and don’t leave without trying the potato and yam curry with roti — absolute perfection — and the spicy fried tofu appetizer, which was out of this world. The textures, balance of spice, and attention to detail were unlike anything else.
If you’re vegan (or even if you’re not), this place is an unforgettable experience that sets the bar for what Thai cuisine should be.

Perfect Experience - Edit
We had a full day of touring the local temples and we had lunch here. This place definitely lives up to the hype. The setting is really nice (it is in a historical looking house) and the staff were very friendly. Everything that we ate was a perfect 10/10 with the Massaman Curry being the highlight. We get to visit one more time before we leave and we cannot wait!

I’m surprised that others have said it is expensive as it’s very reasonable for a fine dinning restaurant in BKK.
A couple of dishes were too salty when compared to other thai restaurants.
We are looking forward to visiting again.
Pros: Inexpensive for fine dinning , Great choices on the menu , Beautiful setting
