Good food, nice patio - Edit
I came here with a non-vegan friend and we sat on the patio. The patio is really nice in warmer weather. Both of us enjoyed our meals. The food we had was tasty and filling, but I wouldn’t say it’s particularly outstanding. Larger servings would have been appreciated. The passion fruit dessert is definitely worth trying. Prices are fair - about €25 per person for a main, drink and dessert.

Ik was zelf nog nooit eerder naar de VJFB geweest en ben blij dat ik het eindelijk heb ervaren! Leuke inrichting en gelukkig stond de muziek niet te hard. De Menukaart was alleen online te bekijken, wat nogal onpraktisch was, zeker door de chaotische vormgeving van de kaart zelf. Ook vond ik het jammer dat veel gerechten zoals 'sashimi' niet meer te bestellen waren.

De Crunchy pnut Thai chik'n betterballs die ik later besteld had, waren opzich wel lekker, maar de binnenkant smaakte alleen maar naar warme satésaus inplaats van dat je echt een ragout proefde.

Good portion sizes and tasty. Overly expensive, and trying very hard to be something like urban arty alternative. Loud music, but not the right kind of loud. Had to ask to get a doggy bag.

It was not full in the restaurant and we had to wait for 1,5 hours, for burgers that’s not what you expect. Burgers were nice, but overpriced. I live close by, but will not go again, pity.

We had a really good experience with the Vegan Junk Food Bar. The outdoor seating is nice (except for the smokers), the staff very friendly and quick. We were not able to get extra wishes (split the Bitterballen/Cheeseballen) though.

I went to a branch of VJFB in Amsterdam several years ago and wasn’t overly impressed but this branch in Rotterdam has changed my mind. We sat outside (trying to sit outside in fresh air, annoyed again by smokers!) and we were given paper menus as we couldn’t access them on our phones. We ordered the onion rings to share and I had the Royal Smash which I really enjoyed. Especially the sauce and jalapeños. My partner had the McCruelty free which he enjoyed. Staff were nice, food took a bit too long to arrive. Not sure why. I wasn’t in a hurry, so it wasn’t an issue I suppose.

I went 2 nights in a row. Tried 4 different dishes from the gluten free menu and a dessert. All incredible. So delicious. The ribs and Zalmon are so so good. This isn’t your normal junk food place. Exceptional looking food. FYI they only take cards.

Better than regular junk food, their menu is like an upgraded version of all the things vegans might miss. Their alternative meats are better than anything we had before. They serve fish, chicken, red meats, seafood - all you can think of. It may seem pricey, but is DEFINITELY worth it.

When I first tasted it in 020 I loved the food but the taste was not lovable anymore.
We had the fish&chips & fish xo, it was filling.
The onion rings, tipsy cocktail and macaroni balls were yummie. So next time we will have only a drink and fingerfood instead!
