Amazing vegan burgers! - Edit
They have a great variety of delicious vegan burgers and fingerfood. While staying in Rotterdam for a week we actually went to VJFB twice because it was so good and there are so many options to try. The staff was also super friendly :)

Read moreAs a starter we had the Fly Wingz and the Betterballs. The Fly Wingz were absolutely amazing and the Betterballs really tasty as well 😍
After we had the burgers Daddy and Notorious. Both of us did not really like "Daddy", we did not like the sauce in it. But we loved "Notorious" - this burger was great!
As a dessert we had Chocozito and Tropical Buba, both desserts were really good.
I think the prices are very fair and we would definitively come again.

The atmosphere, service and interior are incredible. It was insanely delicious. We ordered the fly wings and the betterballs, then burgers Daddy and Notorious. At the end, we ordered more desserts Chocozito and Tropical Buba. Everything was really really delicious, except for the blue sauce in Daddy's burger.

Cheeky but delicious - Edit
I visited twice because I liked it so much!! The first time I had loaded fries and then reuben and I got burgers which were pretty loaded (jaw hurting), but lush. Of course you can get potato smiles for much cheaper in the UK but couldn't resist over a standard chip. The mac and cheese balls were also good but heavy on the deep frying!!

Delicious vegan fastfood! - Edit
There are plenty of outside tables, which was ideal because we had our dog. After asking about it, the waitress made it clear that we could definitely sit at one of the outside tables with the dog. After we ordered our food someone even brought a bowl of fresh water for our dog, which was just so kind and very appreciated!
Read moreThere are so many delicious looking items on the menu so choosing was hard, but we settled on a Sumo platter and a Kapsalon. The Sumo platter is perfect if you want to get a taste of a lot of their snack bites, and all of them were absolutely delicious!
The Kapsalon was equally delicious, with fresh spicy peppers on top to add a little extra to it. Because the food was so good we decided to get dessert as well, and took a Tropical Buba and a Chocozito. Not sure what it exactly is, it's mousse-like and a perfect not too heavy but very tasty dessert.
Even though service seemed to slow down after a while, everyone was superfriendly so we didn't mind waiting a bit longer.
We will definitely be back here to try more delicious vegan fast food!

Read moreAs far as vegan junk food goes it was pretty standard, it’s hard to get wrong when you’re deep frying a bunch of food or cooking a burger patty and assembling it. And hey. I ain’t complaining.
If junk food is your thing then go for it, it was a little bit expensive but not too bad for this kind of food.
Also just a note, the theme of the place is very obviously targeted at teenage girls, the interior is all pink, and also some of the sauces are purposefully food coloured unnatural bright colours like blue and pink which was a tiny bit off putting, but the pink aioli still tasted like aioli so this didn’t effect my rating of the place just thought it was worth a mention.
niki_nine gives a standard 4 stars because it was delicious but not too impressive to deep fry a bunch of food.

Tasteful but a lot of single use plates - Edit
The food was very tasteful and it is a funky place! Though the place stands for sustainable food, it is a pity that this is not represented in the overall concept. I received a lot of single use items, e.g. a paper straw (could be eliminated, my drink would still taste wonderful, in fact even better without the paper taste), a lot of paper plates for fries etc. (OK, the concept is junk food, but it is a restaurant not a take away, so this could easily be replaced by something reusable), paper placemat, paper cutlery holder. It would be super if a trendy place like VJFB, probably attracting a lot of people that are not vegan in their daily life, could also show and aid in helping letting people realise that beyond the food many small things can have a big impact on sustainability.

First, the location has one one of the best vibes I have seen in any restaurant/bar. Second, the food, drinks and desert were absolutely amazing. They have a qr on each table which you scan and use to place orders which makes it easy to do so.

Everytime we visit Rotterdam we think of going here. Today we went for the "sumo platter" and the "calamariz". Excellent vegan versions of regular meat and fish. Their rainbow sauces are playful and full of taste. Do not skip this place when visiting Rotterdam, you will not regret it. Beware of the double cheezburger though, it will be the only meal you'll need all day!

Went here a couple of times now. Food is delicious and pretty looking. Service is always friendly but most of the times they sadly seem either understaffed or not experienced enough (long time before taking your order, not checking up on you during, empty glasses being unnoticed).

Cold fries, bad stomach - Edit
Our visit to the vegan junk food bar left us with mixed feelings. The selection is very good, the price (at least for Germans) is quite high for junk food. We had wings which were very good as well as bitterballs which weren't bad at all. Our loaded fries were already cold when they arrived - but the taste was very good. the truffle sauce just tasted sweet and the waiter forgot to give us cutlery. When I mentioned the fries were cold the waitress blamed it on the kitchen, no apologies. A pity!
