nice atmosphere, great desserts - Edit

We made a reservation for early evening but are a large late lunch so I was too full to fully appreciate our entries. Good presentation at least. The desserts were great though - had a cheesecake and what was described as a traditional Estonian cake, sort of a fudgy fruit cake or a dense brownie with cookie pieces, chocolate chips, and candied fruits inside.

Also - it seems like it's somewhat important to make reservations when dining vegan in Tallinn, at least on weekends. We weren't able to get a table at all at the other vegan restaurant in the old town during our two night visit.

One of the best cakes - Edit

I had the best raw cake here. Tried couple of soups and one burger, they were also nice but I think they are good at desserts especially. Nice place to have a coffee break and staff is really really nice and friendly.

Pros: Desserts, Staff, Location

Cons:

Nothing special! - Edit

The staff was good and the place was nice
But the food was nothing special at all.
falafel tasted very boring and was saggy or smht.
and it was soy sauce on i think which is not bio (gmo contaminated soy)also the other soy products is not bio that they have here. Not even bio tea in this place which is a minimum normally when its health conscious people that eat.
[edit by staff, see tos]

Pros: staff ok and place ok

Cons: gmo soy, boring falafel

Perfect - Edit

It's very cute place with nice atmosphere. I tried "Patato salad" (in Russia it calls Olivie) and it was perfect, I was amazed the taste was like my mother did it. Also we tried very nice deserts and of course excellent craft stout! I recommend to visit this place even you are not a vegan!

Pros: excellent food, friendly staff, nice vibe

Cons: no, no, no

Not impressed - Edit

I was excited to visit a 100% vegan cafe, but i was somewhat dissapointed. The idea is great, but the place seems kind of raw & unfinished. I don't think I would go there again.

I ordered a *special burger*, with a beet patty. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything near special, the filling was quite boring, lacked ''inspiration'' & it was overpriced. Chai tasted like warm milk & lacked spices. But the peanutbutter-apple cake was delicious!

Pros: Good location in the old town, Tasty cakes, Vide variety of options

Cons: Overpriced, Dish description is better than it is in real life

We spent a great time for lunch with my non veggie friends. Everything was fresh, delicious and filling.
The location is great, the atmosphere is nice and the waitress was very friendly and a good advisor.
It's really affordable.
Great! :)

Pros: Fresh and tasty food, Friendly staff, Nice place

Cons: The toilets....

Great coffee! - Edit

This is an all-vegan café with a laid-back atmosphere. The menu has very interesting and innovative dishes, but the ideas are better than the execution. This means, the food is just OK. Very good are the cakes and the coffee!

“Vegan Restaurant V” is the better option in Tallinn, but I would also go to Café Inspiration again. Quick service, no reservation required. Also serve breakfast!

Pros: lot's of choice, great coffee, location

Cons: some food lacks "inspiration"

I want to like Inspiratsioon... - Edit

...I really do! But...
At the time of writing this review they have been open for over a year. And yet the staff still look like deer in the headlights, as if the place was opened yesterday and they haven't figured out all the kinks yet.
Last summer we used to go there all the time for veggie burgers - they were well priced and the best in town. The good price vs quality ratio helped disregard all the cons.
Since then Inspiration has raised their prices, dropped their food quality and not improved service at all, which suddenly makes it really difficult to like the place.

Of the three times we have come here recently we were turned away twice because they didn't have a chef or had run out of food. The last time (just like mentioned in previous review) they did not have a lot of the dishes proposed on the menu.

In the meantime the other vegan restaurant in town has to beat people away with a stick because they are so popular and constantly fully booked. So obviously there is huge demand. I hope Inspiration will pick up their game ASAP.

Not inspiring to me. - Edit

We went on a Sarurday, lunch time. I am sure -or I want to believe so- that we went on the wrong day. First thing, we arrived, nobody welcomed or looked at us. After a couple or minutes, we took the menu ourself which was in front of the waiter -who still didnt even have a glance at us. We read it all and decided what we wanted to order, except that the waiter came said: "we have only burgers and pizza". Fine, there were 3 different kind of burgers. We decided again, he came but "No, we only have this burger, and only one left ". So, at that point my boyfriend asked if there was anything else and the waiter pointed 3 other things -which he didn't said before they had. We were already annoyed, why didn't he tell us as we arrived what they did have exactly? And most of all, why didn't he even apologize for not having food? It seemed normal to him.
Our burger and Falafel salad arrived and at least the food was good, not exceptional, but good. Of course they didn't have any dessert left.
While we were there, we saw other clients going through the same (and being annoyed as we were).

As I said before, I hope it was just a wrong day.

Pros: 100% vegan food, Position

Cons: Lack of kindness, They didn't have most of the food

Nice restaurant - Edit

I had a burger here which was pretty tasty. Staff wasnt very friendly/talkative though, there was a bit of a weird atmosphere. I think that Restoran V is nicer, but this place is good for a change!

Pros: Tasty food

Cons: Only 1 shabby English menu

Great interesting healthy food, even my omni family liked it - Edit

Went there for lunch and again for dinner, then with my omnivore family. Very impressed by the interesting choices on the menu! Gooseberry cider was a first for me, and really nice. Great to finally have a vegan Estonian potato salad. Had a funky tea that was coloured blue. Many different desserts too, all really nice: tried the avocado-lime thingy, a brownie cake (which was very rich and more like a chocolate mousse cake) and a raw "cheese"cake. Even my uncle who was initially joking about mowing the lawn for vegan food (i.e. thinking we eat grass) was impressed with the pizza he had :)

Lucking flavor - Edit

I ordered the pizza and the soba noodles and both where tasteless. I also had the avocado cheesecake and that was good.

Pros: Great location, Good dessert, Very inexpensive

Great place! - Edit

I had the Vegan pizza and it was awesome and had a sh'tload of good stuff on it. The staff was very friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere. The only thing that might be negative for some (hungry) is that the pizza is on the smaller side but it still filled me up:)

Pros: Friendly staff, Great Menu

Cons: Small portions
