I've enjoyed few Indian restaurants since I became vegan, but here I could have anything and it was fantastic.

Cons: Pricey but we did order a lot

Incredible Indian Food - Edit
We visited Vegan India twice during our stay and absolutely loved our experience, where the food was incredible.
Read moreThe 3 of us shared a number of dishes across the extensive menu including aloo gobi, chana masala, vegetable Rogan Josh, vegetable dansak, tofu makhani, sag no paneer and butter no chicken (Indian style), with pilau rice, paratha and chapatis.
All the dishes were exceptional, with such depth in flavour and spicing, but our favourites were the makhani and butter no chicken.
We also had the kheer dessert, as it is rare to see a vegan version. That too was delicious. Our son also loved the vegan ice cream cornet.
Staff were very friendly and the service was exceptional. Prices are very reasonable too. A must visit.
Pros: Incredible Food, Choice , Staff / Inexpensive

Pre booked a table on a Saturday night.
Read moreFirstly great choice of drinks especially if you are enjoy low alcohol beer (kingfisher zero) which was a nice surprise.
So many good food options, only had main course, sides and dessert. Well priced, wonderful food and staff were friendly. Their version of Saag Paneer was amazing so worth ordering. I ordered the Vegan Delights (with mock lamb) and which was has lots of fresh ginger and garlic.
If you do intend to visit, i would advise getting money out before as cash is preferred but card payment is an option.
Unfortunately didn’t take any photos but look forward to returning again soon.
Pros: Food - great flavours! , Staff - friendly and attentive , Price - well priced for the amount of food

A Great selection of food, all very good. Nice place with friendly staff.

Sunday Thali amazing, atmosphere, location! The Young Ones filming location - Edit
We went to Bristol to visit set/filming locations of The Young Ones (BBC tv 80s hit show). We happened to see this restaurant as we were visiting one... The Baths aka Fascist Pig bank, Then realised the restaurant itself is a continuation of the shops shown in the Summer Holiday ep. The Young Ones house is a short walk away.
Read moreOh I forgot to mention.... The food was fabulous, the menu (they also serve alcohol... yay!) the atmosphere and the prices were all excellent. It has a nice clean toilet for customer use.

Superb food 💚 - Edit
Fantastic to have such a large menu to choose from and not to have to search for the token vegan dish. We chose a different dish each Pasanda, Biryani and Balti with different breads. All superb, tasty, good portions and good presentation. The hot flannel and chocolate at the end of the meal is a lovely touch. Staff are helpful, friendly and make you feel very welcome.

What was there not to like about vegan India. The Bhuna and korma were absolutely sensational. Onion bhajis & peshwari naan both made and cooked to perfection. I wish we had a totally vegan Indian offering food this good in Brighton!

Amazing choice. Excellent food. Lovely service. - Edit
If you love a curry this is the spot for you. The menu is extensive. All sorts. The na'an was epic. You can order lots of dishes with a choice of vegan meat, chickpeas, aubergine, Tofu or tempeh so it covers everyone. It's also incredibly reasonably priced. The staff were lovely and catered for my birthday dinner in such a friendly way. Will be going back (a lot) and can't wait to try more of the dishes.

Great! - Edit
Just had a takeaway from Vegan India on Gloucester Road, Bristol. The food was great and all vegan. Staff were very friendly too! Will definitely go back and eat at the restaurant but the takeaway was one of the best we've had. Food was very tasty, extensive menu, we had the tandoori mixed grill which was delicious, great naans, chickpea bhuna and a sag aloo, it was all great! In fact, it was all delicious! And very reasonably priced for the amount of food. Some of the dishes came in cardboard containers as well so not too much plastic waste!

Attentive staff and food served in good time. I went on a Friday evening and there wasn't a spare seat so I'd definetly consider booking ahead.
