Different name, super bad, unjustified ratings

Search for Hotel Amfiteater instead of Vegan House… We were quite afraid to eat here, because of the very bad feedback on Google but chose to give it a try. In high season they serve many vegan dishes, visiting in October we were offered a vegan 3 course meal by the very friendly server. Starter was a zucchini carpaccio with rocket salad, accompanied by white bread and 3 different locally produced olive oils. A big glass of red wine and water from tap was included. Main course were no-meat balls (sunflower seeds) in a tasty tomato sauce on a bed of mashed potatoes. The dessert was a crumble cake with banana-plum bottom, topped with apricot ice cream. The whole menu was tasty, served without delay and with a total price of 20 € per person very reasonably priced. I do not at all understand the bad ratings and can only recommend you to try it out yourself. I will definitely visit again…

Pros: Easy but tasty food, Unlimited olive oil 😍, 20 € for a 3 course menu

Cons: Unjustified bad ratings, Guy next to us feasting on a huge steak, Missing toilet paper in the ladies bathroom

Resturant has vegan options but they are not tasty and over priced

The vegan burger consisted of tough burger bun and patty made of just seeds! Nice salad inside but thats all that was good. Comes with no fries or plate, more street food in cardboard box. I spent 22 euros and we took them away after 2 or 3 bites but ended up chucking them sadly. Beer and service was good, nice location too and the girl who served me was friendly

Pros: Staff, Location, Beer!

Cons: Food, Value, Options but not full vegan menu

Expensive and deceptive, but good

I understand the other bad reviews in this app, which almost prevented me from trying this place.
- The "restaurant" is just a vegan menu page in the bigger Amfiteatar restaurant. This is definitely false advertising.
- The place is expensive, and the food quality doesn't fully justify it.

However, this is the only place in the whole of Pula that has a clear vegan menu with many options. I feel like they are the people trying the hardest in this city, which I appreciate.
Also, the sunflower seed balls, even if not amazing, were really very good.
You can check the separate Amfiteatar listing on this app for an idea of what this place is like without the expectation of it being fully vegan. I fully recommend giving it a try if you can afford it.

Not a real restaurant

I’d give 1 star if possible!! The location doesn’t actually exist; what “vegan house” refers to is hotel amfiteatar’s restaurant’s vegan menu - service was horrible (rude and incredibly slow despite it not being busy) , food was ok at best & very overpriced, also just generally weird to advertise a restaurant that doesn’t actually exist…

Pros: Vegan polenta dish was ok

Cons: Service , Prices, False advertising?

Caution: No vegan restaurant!

This is not a purely vegan restaurant. It is the restaurant of the Hotel Amfiteatar. Under Vegan House were offered only vegan options. This restaurant serves meat. The vegan options are not very good but very expensive. Burger and salad were very uncharitable. The meat alternative was very dry and did not taste good. The restaurant was a total failure.

Cons: Very expensive, Meat alternative dry and inedible, Server meat

Not a vegan restaurant

Part of a different restaurant (hotel restaurant?), hard to find. Has maybe 5 vegan options, 3 of which we tried. Polenta was tasty but dumplings were chewy, sauce was unpleasant. Sunflower burrito wasn't worth the price. Expensive too.

Not a 100% vegan restaurant!

Very misleading marketing. Although it may like like a vegan restaurant, it is NOT. It was very hard to find. Turns out, it’s just the Amfitheathre restaurant on the corner. Contrary to the site, there are also less than 20 options. I would say there are about 6. Food is okay and tasty, however, quite pricey for what you get. If you’re expecting a 100% vegan restaurant, I would not go there. However, If you’re okay with there being meat options, then it’s a good option.

Pros: Tasty food

Cons: Misleading marketing, Not 100% vegan, Few options
