The first place we found in Prague that veganizes traditional Czech dishes. Exceptionally kind and warm staff. The best restaurant on our trip.

Great! - Edit
I think they have changed the name to Vegan House Karlín, but whatever the name, it’s really nice. Traditional Czech cuisine alongside Asian classics as well. I had the dumplings and meat patties and was very satisfied.

Tasty food - Edit
I have tried the Czech dumplings with gravy, red cabbage and "meat" steaks. The texture and taste of the "meat" was excellent and I have really enjoyed the bread dumplings.

Asian and czech style place, luxury presentation - Edit
Nice place with terrace.
Read moreThe chef took our request for a soy free meal to heart and did his best to make it nice. So even if the menu has little soy free options, more is possible upon request.
The food was very tasty and presented in a chique way, especially the chefs choice dish. Would definitely recommend the place.
Also the dessert dumplings were very special.
Pros: Nice presentation, Very helpful chef, Good food

Vegan wonderland in Prague - Edit
Lovelly staff and beautiful restaurant. I've been here for lunch three times during this week of holidays in Prague and everything I tried was delicious.
Read moreI had lunch at Samurai on my very first day in Prague, when I was completely sure I would never have the chance to try Czech food as a vegan. Imagine my surprise when I found this place.
In my first visit I had sirloin with bread dumplings, roasted vegan meat and cranberries and it was amazing. It's my favourite dish so far. On my second visit I tried vegan meat with sauce (oh what a sauce), roasted potato dumplings, spinach and caramelized onions and today I had the fried vegan cheese, together with the shitake pate with lentils. The portions are pretty generous. I attach some pictures so you all can have a hint of what I mean.
I would happlily come all the way back from Spain just to have lunch here again. Thank you so much for letting me have a try of the Czech cuisine as a vegan, allowing me not to skip this part of the culture.

Lovely vegan food after a long day in Prague - Edit
Our first, all vegan Czech meal in Prague. We loved it. We tried their sweet and savoury wontons and Czech dumplings with gravy, spinach, "meat" steaks and fried onions. Washed that down with a crisp beer, which hit all the right notes. The food was stunning and the host was very warm and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Samurai offers a mixture of both Chezh and asian food, and they seems to do both pretty well. I had a schnitzel for dinner and the banana dumplings for dessert, and they are both pretty good.

Vegan, Friendly, but menu needs polishing! - Edit
Drinks - we tried the Hibiscus lemonade, Raspberry Daiquiri, and Mango Daiquiri. All were great, but plastic straws were a bit disappointing.
Read moreStarters - we tasted all the starters, including each flavor of the little dumplings. Everything here was pretty good, but the Shiitake mushroom Pâté was especially tasty!
Main meals - The restaurant has many vegan versions of Czech food (svickova, vypecky, gulas, rizek), we tried the Svickova and even though the dumplings and sauce were good, the dish was brought down by the rather odd choice of "meat" - it was fried and tasted more like sausage. We also tried the Pad Thai, which was good.
Service - the service was really friendly and took great care of us, they really seem to care about the satisfaction of customers, so I hope they improve a few things because this place has a lot of potential!
Pros: Great service, Awesome drinks, Tasty and original starters
Cons: The "meat" could be improved in Czech dishes, Plastic straws

Nice vegan place - Edit
I have seen the menu on their fb page prior my visit and it was only vegetarian, however when we arrived, the restaurant had a big "vegan" sign outside and the menu we got was fully vegan. Perhaps they are 100% vegan now? The interior is new and cozy, staff is friendly. We tried several meals and non was really outstanding, portions are rather small. I would recommend the calamari, very interesting taste. Svickova was quite good but needed salt, and while the meat substitute was tasty, it wasn't a good fit for this meal. The one that came with spinach and potato dumplings would be better I think. The potato dumplings were really tiny slices, not as they would be usually served with this traditional czech meal. Food was nicely served though. I also liked the pate, the portion size was good here but it should have come with a toasted baguette and we got a cold seed bread as a side.
Read moreThe strudel was a joke, almost no apples inside, only dough!
Some meals left a lot to be desired, some were tasty. I will probably come another time to try something else as the menu looks tempting. They also have lunch menu.
Pros: everything in the menu was labeled vegan
Cons: could be better but some items were very tasty
