Delicious vegan food - Edit
What a lovely environment. We chose the Massaman bowl and the Falafel bowl. Both very flavorsome and mega healthy.

Amazing food - Edit
We had avocado toast with cheese and tomato, a power wrap, and pasta with a rosé sauce. The first two dishes were perfect! Incredibly delicious and indulgent, every ingredient was added with love, and nothing was skimped on—it was just so tasty! We didn’t enjoy the pasta as much; there’s something different about the tomato sauce in Thailand compared to what we’re used to back home, and we didn’t really like it.
Read moreFor dessert, we had an amazing raw tiramisu cake!
The next day, we went back and ordered the power wrap again because it was so good the first time, along with a tofu bowl. We finished everything, and it was one of the best dinners we've had.
Friendly service, clean restrooms, and a charming place to sit indoors, like a little garden by the water. Highly recommended!

Great food and vibes - Edit
This is a lovely restaurant with great food, an extensive menu and great vibes. Semi-Outdoor garden seating area, as well as live music on an evening. Mix of Thai and western food (both great), desserts, cakes and really good cocktails. Super friendly staff too.

Very extensive menu it was so hard to choose! We’ll be back to try something else for sure.
It was empty when we went at 10.30am which I thought was odd, but it’s our first day in Chiang Mai so not sure if that’s normal.

Bueno, bonito y barato - Edit

Fab food in lovely surroundings. - Edit
I had spaghetti with tomato sauce, made creamy with cashew nuts - it tasted delicious. Added courgette fingers, deep fried, of course, as a side dish. We also had 2 pizzas and fried tofu with tamarind sauce. Everything was first class. We all enjoyed it so much that we ordered take away wraps for tomorrow's lunch.

The consistent high level or quality dishes, portion size and always top notch service makes thailand one of the best places for vegan food and Downtown - Vegan Garden follows the trend. Thank you so much. Cant wait to visit again.

Great for a late night feed, has live music - Edit
We dropped in here after a busy day exploring Chiang Mai. It’s open late so it’s perfect to drop in and get a quick bite and a drink. There was a local band playing so the vibes were great too.

Just okay - Edit
I used to go to Goodsouls in the city pretty often but the service got worse and I stopped. When they reopened this branch I decided to give them another go and my first visit was pretty good. Went again last night and it was a bit hot and miss. The service was patchy. Drinks came out in an odd order. The massaman bowl was tasty but an odd mix of cold beans and warm tofu. None of the beans were seasoned and the Massaman sauce was neither punchy nor plentiful enough to really make up for the unseasoned components of the dish. The pizza was not great. The crust was blackened and crispy but underdone underneath, so it was impossible to pick up. All the toppings slid right off the base, and it was all soggy by the end. Given the price, it really should have been better than this. We also got charged for a dessert we didn't order so we got that taken off the bill.

Nice environment, food was ok - Edit
It has a really nice vibe but it's quite an expensive place for the food and especially the drinks. I'm not sure if they use vegan cheese, it didn't specify what the parmesan or mayo was made of so i didn't want to risk it.

Dear Aaron,
Read moreThank you for your feedback and we are glad you enjoyed our restaurant environment and Western menu options. All of our cheeses are 100% vegan and made in-house and we will make sure they are labeled as such.
I'm also sorry to hear that you weren't happy with our prices. We strive to keep our prices fair and competitive, even in times when the cost of quality ingredients and the general cost of running a restaurant has increased significantly. We understand that perceptions can vary, but thank you for bringing this to our attention. We nevertheless hope to see you again at another time.

First lunch - Edit
A wide menu ranging from Thai dishes, breakfast bowls to western dishes. I always order Khao Soi when I see a vegetarian version. Whilst tasty it didn't have that punchy flavor you expect from Khao Soi.

Beautiful place, really nice food - Edit
I would say this place loses a star from the expensive prices of their food. I really enjoyed the smoothie bowl, after the granola, which for me somehow did not go with the smoothie itself. The additional of passionfruit made the smoothie more tarte, which I wasn’t a huge fan of either. The mushroom toast is a 10/10; if there is anything that you need to get from there, it is the mushroom toast! I have never had such a delicious meal - super garlicky, fresh and packed with mushroomy goodness! Just make sure you come with a hefty chunk of money, because as aforementioned to me it just seemed a bit over the top in terms of price.

Beautiful garden - Edit
Great vegan restaurant at the heart of Chiang Mai’s historic district. They have a beautiful garden sit-down area in the back, and a restaurant/cafe in the front, looks like with an area for a live band. I came by for brunch and was impressed by the presentation and flavor. A bit pricey, but understandable considering the quality and location. Highly recommend

We had cake, it was delicious. We also had the fried tempeh. It was a huge portion and perfect to fill up on some protein. Not very cheap, but also a nice place to relax or get some work done. No laptops or ipads allowed in the garden area though.
