Amazing - Edit
So happy I live in delivery radius of this place! I’ve never been to the restaurant but have ordered from Deliveroo loads of times. Food never disappoints! Also feels healthy compared to the majority of takeaways but without sacrificing taste!

Amazing food - Edit
Amazing food, the tofu steak and the quinoa lasagne are our favourites and the cheesecakes are great for dessert. Lovely vegan wines on offer too. Everything is cooked fresh to order so it's not fast food but it never takes too long. Much nicer to eat here than a big chain restaurant, to support a local business

Came back here after trying the dessert - the rest of the menu did not disappoint. Tried the pizza as well - super crispy and melts in your mouth. Try the rum and raisin ice cream - it’s to die for! #Veganuary

Take away only due to lockdown 2. He was selling all his mains, pizzas, burgers specials for £10 (normally more) amd my pizza was great. Tasty base and lovely topping with seitan perrerami and vegan mozza. Really really nice.

Well below expectations - Edit
I booked this restaurant purely based on photos I had seen and the menu, and had not read into the reviews (just saw the 4-5 stars and thought that’ll do!).
Read moreThe decor lacks any sort of character or personality and the restaurant has an uncomfortable atmosphere and a distinct lack of both customers and staff.
The waitress who served us didn’t speak very good English and had trouble understanding us, both on the phone when booking, and when trying to order food. On top of this the service was slow. Despite being one of only three couples in the restaurant (the other two were being served their dessert) I had to get up and call her when we wanted to order our food, and also get up again to remind her to bring the drinks we had ordered, a long while after we ordered them. On top of this the bill was incorrect and they tried to charge us £5.50 more than they should have.
Moving on to the food... It didn’t take forever to come, but it also certainly wasn’t quick out the kitchen. I personally liked the roast. I thought the flavours were really good, it was well seasoned and I enjoyed the bean loaf. My boyfriend however was not a fan, he saw that the “roast” potatoes were being put in a deep fat fryer, as he was sat facing the kitchen. Both our plates were swimming in oil... I like oily food 😂 but he does not! And generally thought the roast was greasy.
The only other thing we ordered was a £5.50 biscoff milkshake which honestly was... a joke. For £5.50 I expected a delicious creamy milkshake, which I assumed would have cream on top (especially given in the description that said “topped with a whole biscoff biscuit”) but no... it was cool, not even cold, not thick at all, literally just a glass of flavoured milk. Not a blended milk shake. No cream on top, just a biscuit floating around in the milk! I actually couldn’t believe it. 😂😂 The roast is £13.50 and the milkshake £5.50, plus they add service without asking you. It is INCREDIBLY overpriced. We didn’t stay for dessert because my boyfriend was so annoyed. I
Pros: Roast tasted nice
Cons: Very overpriced , Bad service / awkward atmosphere , Rubbish milkshakes

Absolute Gem in South London - Edit
First visit for Valentines Day and we were not disappointed. Food was simply amazing. Onion rings with the best batter I’ve ever tasted and humous with home made flat bread started us off. Artichoke hearts (kindly offered from the Valentine menu) and Lasagne for mains. Cheesecake and ice cream for dessert. The flavours were divine - I just wanted more!!
Read moreNot only is the food here brilliant the hospitality is superb. We were made to feel so welcome and as if we had been regulars. Pitched the service just right and took time out to explain dishes and ingredients.
Run by vegans for mainstreaming veganism, if you have not visited, this should be your priority. Short hop on the 44 bus from Earlsfield.
Pros: The food - best I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant, Hospitality - welcoming and friendly, Run by vegans with a passion for veganism

Disappointing visit - Edit
On our first visit the Vegan Express, we came for the desserts not thinking the main courses would be suitable for our diet(Jain) However we were happy to find out that they could adapt the dishes to our requirements. We later contacted the chef (Charles) via email and he identified that the salads and the a few starters would be suitable for us, so we booked a table for a nice evening meal.
Read moreWe turned up and sat down ready to order, to then be told it was only the salads now which would be suitable. This is very disappointing since we have travelled out of our way to come here.

Won't let me give 1 star. - Edit
Takes far too long to get your order even when the place is empty. Staff rude on the phone when asked about an ad on groupon where they tried to change the deal even though terms and conditions are stated clearly. Food expensive. Been a few times but since the groupon incident (voucher online for cheap meal for two stated available Monday-Sunday, yet when asked to book they said monday only!) I will not be going back.

I have visited this place three times now and it is only getting better! From their freshly pressed juices (a simple pineapple is heavenly) to their sweet gluten free waffle, their food is original, tasty and wholesome. I had the pea protein burger last night. Sandwiched between two thick layers of grilled aubergine and some grilled veg on the side it was a guilt free treat.

Best Vegan Nachos ever - Edit
Update: became even more expensive😒my partner and I shared a starter, had a burger and tofish, and shared a dessert - paid over £50, which is way too much for a "regular" restaurant.
Read more--------------
Food is 5*!! Vegan nachos is the best I have ever had - nice portion to share, but pricey though.
Salads, burgers and tofish are delicious. The pizza was a very positive surprise - looks very authentic, almost as in an Italian pizza place.
As other reviews say the place doesn't have any sort of atmosphere. It could be a nice restaurant with tasty vegan food, but now it is just a place to have tasty food or order delivery.

Amazing vegan food - Edit
This is the third time that I have been to this restaurant and the food is always of the highest quality. Today, I went with a party of three other people and we decided to try the Sunday Vegan roast dinner. It consisted of bean loaf, seitan, roasted vegetables and roasted potatoes and came with some very delicious gravy. The portion size was generous and it tasted amazing.
Read moreFor pudding I decided to have the sticky toffee pudding which I chose to have with soya cream (though I could also have chosen vegan ice cream or toffee sauce). I was really pleased with my choice as the pudding literally melted in my mouth and I am now planning to go back again to enable me to consume another portion.
As noted by the other reviewers on this site, the service can be a bit slow. Though in our case, this was not an issue as we were there for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. The menu is a little bit expensive, however, the quality of the food is worth paying for as a treat every now and then.
The food in this place is amazing and the choice on the all vegan menu is incredible. I found the customer service to be of the highest standard also.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Pros: Really tasty and healthy freshly cooked food, Incredible choice of food, Excellent customer service
Cons: Can be a bit expensive, Service can be a bit slow

Absolutely delicious food! We have the Seitan Salami pizza, mushroom white sauce pizza and lasagne! Lasagne was more of a veggie bake as no pasta but still very tasty. Service was so slow, we waited 1hr 20mins for our food to start coming out. We were with a large group of 20 people but they didn’t warn us the wait would be that long. I would still go back. Lots more to try!

Fantastic food - Edit
Yes, fantastic food but *awkward* service and atmosphere! We arrived at 7 to just one other couple in the restaurant and one person waiting for a takeaway. Very basic decor with the same few generic Asian tracks playing over and over again overhead. A very shy and/or inexperienced waitress let us sit anywhere so we took a table away from the giant smudged mirrored wall. When we sat, I looked down to see a dead fly on the skirting board, lots of little bits of food, crumbs on the floor and some chili sauce (?) on the wall. Oh well, at least it's not on my plate..
Read moreOrdering was weird as the waitress was so quiet and/or nervous. Friendly, but not good at waitressing. There was two of us but she brought three beers. A glass for me and then two for him ?! Then we were asked if we wanted to hold onto the menus, even after we ordered. We said no...and she left them there. It had now just become funny!
It is a strange layout for a restaurant to where you have to pass through the business side of things to get to the loos..in which there was no soap in the dispenser but a bar of soap above the toilet. Who uses bar soap in a business anymore?
After a bit of a wait, the food arrived and was fantastic! I had the mushroom pizza and hubby had the rosso. Both really well made, great crust, great toppings- interesting fake cheese! (we are fairly new to vegan and still in the experimental stages!) Mine I found to be a little sweet..but it's still good! Loved the mushrooms! They were both very filling and we took leftovers home! So because of the food itself- quality and portion size- the price is totally justified.
We will go back again because the food is so good and I just hope the atmosphere and service improves. Get some more confident staff and make the place more cozy/warm- not "pop-up cafe about to take the money and run ;- )" .

Superb food, long waits - Edit
I’ve been here a good number of times, and if you’re visiting or living in London as a vegan you really can’t miss it. The food is excellent, with veganized versions of old favorites and some interesting dishes you wouldn’t find anywhere else. The only real con is the wait times - I once waited 45 minutes between my appetizer and a pizza entree, with maybe 1 or 2 other tables in the restaurant. It would be unacceptable for most restaurants but the food here is just so damn good that I keep coming back. Service is always friendly and I’ve never had to wait to be seated, and I’m always looking forward to what the chefs here do next.

My boyfriend and I have been here a good number of times now. We love the delicious food and the people, but every time we come here we wait a significant amount of time for our food. Kinda sucks, but the food is worth it. Just don’t come here if you’re in a rush.
