Taro sandwich was great but lacked some texture

I did enjoy the taro sandwich, the taro was soft and had a great taste. It only lacked some extra texture in my opinion. Something crunchy would have made the sandwich perfect. The staff is friendly and there was enough seating area in the restaurant. Really nice to have an option for breakfast / lunch that is fully vegan. Payment only goes cash or with LinePay.

So delicious!

This place has been my favorite brunch/lunch restaurant since I've been living in Taichung (1 year). I live a little far to go there regularly, but they have UberEats! I probably get my lunch from here at least 5 days a week.

I have tried almost everything on the menu and it's all delicious but I always go back to the 半半酥菜胖吐司 with 塔塔醬 (it's a patty made of beans and tofu in a sandwich with vegan tartar sauce).

Pros: Delicious, Affordable, Fresh ingredients

Cons: I wish I lived closer 😀

Great little place to eat lunch

We went here on the recommendation of a friend who goes frequently and "loves the sandwiches". The interior is small but cosy, not super fancy but it's very nice with a few small tables and a small counter you can sit and eat at, with a bathroom (and more seating? not sure) upstairs. The staff are friendly and can provide an English menu. We ordered the croquette sandwich (added vegan cheese) and pesto rice bowl, along with a side of fried tofu. All of it was delicious and disappeared in moments. Will definitely have to go back to try the rest of the menu!

Love their fried *chicken*

One of my favorite places in Taichung. They offer great variety of fried stuffs with sandwiches. Usually I’m not a fan for vegan meat product or any other thing tried to be the substitute for traditional meat meal, but their fried chicken is really nice! Absolutely my comfort food to go!

Cute place

This place is small and cute. The few sandwiches I tried were not bad! The best is the crispy patty one. I recommend! Their toast is very delicious, many order whole loaves of toast from them.

Pros: Completely vegan (they use vegan cheese), Cute place, Tries to minimize single use waste

Cons: Not filling, No air conditioner

Yay, brunch!

Not a lot of brunch options around for vegans, so Vegan Daily is a welcome addition to the Taichung restaurant scene. Owned by the same company as Yiihotang, Hoshina, and Flourish in Taipei, Vegan Daily is more laid back. Seating is limited, but they accommodated our party of ten by spreading us across a few tables. (Their largest table seats six.) Some breakfast items were already unavailable by the time we arrived at 11:00am, but I still enjoyed my taro paste sandwich (NT$80) and popcorn tofu (NT$60 for large order). If you show your Plants Fan VIP card, you get a free assam black tea. It’s cutely decorated and definitely a spot I’ll go back to for brunch!
