Affordable And Tasty - Edit
Vegan Curry Rice with Mother Earth was located near bus stop 17101 (Clementi Road Blk 352). However, they have left that location.
Read moreThe signature curry katsu don cost $6.80 and was outstanding. The curry was thick, sweet, and spicy, and came with a small handful of vegetables (pieces of lettuce, potatoes, broccoli, carrots, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, and corn). The curry also went well with the vegan mayo drizzled on top. The star of the show was the breaded and fried tonkatsu cutlet, which was made using OmniPork and was very realistic.
The gongbao monkey head mushroom rice cost $5.80 and was relatively flavourful. The gongbao monkey head mushrooms were sweet and savoury in taste, mainly soft and spongy in texture, somewhat similar to the fatty part of braised pork belly. This would be a good choice for those who prefer whole foods to mock meat. However, the quantity of ingredients could have been more generous.
The steamed signature siew mai cost $2 for 3 pieces. I personally felt the siew mai was too small in size and had a slightly strange aftertaste.
Overall, this shop offered interesting and tasty food, and the prices were more wallet-friendly compared to some other popular vegan specialty eateries. Hopefully this shop will reopen in a more convenient location and provide even better food.

not vegan...? (edit: confirmed vegan) - Edit
overall experience was fair. this is my 2nd time here and my non veg friends and fam agree their good is pretty good!
Read more*UPDATE: confirmed vegan!*
i didn’t leave the place feeling good as i saw a fairprice tartar sauce bottle in their fridge... counter checked fairprice’s website and it contains eggs 🤮 i didn’t ask the staff if they used that in their food but i assume they use it since it’s there
i ate the food already so it’s too late, do check w the staff before ordering if you’re vegan!
anyways here’s what i ordered:
1. signature katsu don (good!)
2. siew mai (good too, tastes legit)
3. steamed kung ba pao (soft bun, yummy tho the filling is not enough :-()
4. wanton mee (sauce is good! portion is fair)
5. shitake potato boat (not bad though there’s barely any shitake)
6. katsu mayo burger set (ngl it looks kinda pathetic but taste wise is fine. small portion but price is reasonable sooo)
7. sweet and sour rice (fair taste, not a fan of the sauce :-()
Pros: many options, reasonable price
Cons: a bit too processed for me

Hi absolutely no worries about the sauce. That was just a staff's random which he has been warned to dispose off or bring home. No such sauce was used in any of the food and VCR only uses eggless and dairy-free mayo/sauces. Everyone especially vegans can continue to dine at Vegan Curry Rice in peace!

Very vegan good ") - Edit
Love it. Ordered all the signature dishes, curry rice, dim sum, bao and wantan mee. Don't like the otah though. Remember to order the vegan ice cream sandwich. Really good. But contain peanut. May be hard to find the location. Took me a while.

Delicious Siew mai - Edit
Tried dumpling noodles, Siew mai, satay, curry katsu don and Kong ba bao( sliced meat buns). Portions are too small and expensive for price we are paying. Siew mai still the best to taste omnipork. Satay was over spiced and too mushy with no cucumbers. Kong ba bao looks good but no impact on texture and flavour. Curry katsudon is delicious but curry gravy too little. Dumpling noodles only a mouthful of noodles give .

Read moreVegan Curry Rice, despite the name, serves other delicious vegan comfort food as well. The food is very good and also reasonably priced.
I especially love the signature katsu curry rice and shitake mushroom potato boat. The omnipork nuggets and siew mai are pretty good as well.
One small complaint would be there are only plastic bottled drinks.
The restaurant is located in a quiet residential area near Clementi Station (take bus 154 south heading at Clementi Station).
Pros: All vegan comfort food, Reasonable prices

3.5 🌟 Taste is good. Kong Ba Pau is a disappointment. - Edit
Gave 3.5 stars rating instead of 4, 3 is low..
Read morePrice is reasonable and have creative dishes which are not found easily. Had curry rice and Kong Ba Pau.
Curry taste is spicy and more towards “Indian” style as the spices fragrance is strong. The rice is very lumpy, not something i am expecting. But the overall taste compensate the rice quality.
Katsu and monkey head (for curry rice) quantity seem little. Another 2-3 pieces will be better. But they are fried to good crispyness.
Kong Ba Pau is a true disappointment. The piece of “protein” is so tiny and the flavour is not there. The pau is steamed well though. (Attaching photos) Not worth ordering, in my opinion.
Pros: Creative dishes, Staff are friendly
Cons: Waiting time can be long at times.

A bit too processed for me. - Edit
This place came highly recommended by many people so I made it a point to be here. While the food was very tasty, it didn't seem like there was a balance of enough vegetables. A bit too much processed food for me - processed vegan meat and vegan noodles.
Read moreIt would however be a good place to take your meat-loving friends to let them experience plant-based food in an accessible manner.

Affordable Asian dishes - Edit
Went with some friends and ordered quite a few dishes, including 2 bowls of wonton mee, 3 dim sums, curry Katsu don and 3 drinks, but the bill only amounted to approximately $30! The only qualm we have is that there was a certain inconsistency in the quantity given - one bowl of wonton mee was 1.25 times the amount of the other.

Curry Katsu Don! - Edit
After seeing many reviews on this place, finally I made a trip down with a non-vegetarian friend to check out this place. We ordered the signature curry katsu don each, and it is indeed delicious! Additionally we ordered sides to share, siew mai, gyoza, satay and otah... these were okay but I would not say fantastic. I’m quite disappointed with the siew mai actually as I’ve read reviews that they are a must-order side dish. Will come try out other dishes next time!

Not Bad :) - Edit
Food:
Read moreI was there earlier and ate their wanton mee (dry). S$3.50 because I added extra noodle. The sauce they use is nice, quite different from the usual dry mee taste. Good that they are open till late (I asked, they close at 10pm)
Location:
Unfortunately tucked in a corner😄I hope business will flourish.
Good alternative to other veg places around Lor Ah-Soo area where other eateries close after lunch
GOOD LUCK!
Pros: variety, generous portion, open till late (9/10pm :)
Cons: tucked in corner of coffee shop

Terrible business practice - Edit
Don't bother visiting unless you're in the area and have zero expectations. This business clearly does not care about its customers.
Read moreI travelled an hour to try this place yet it was closed, even thought it was during it's operating hours. I'm so tired of vegetarian food places that clearly do not care much for respecting it's customers by just simply following it's operating hours, or at least having just a sliver of decency by at least updating their sites and the customers.
The only reason i am rating this place two stars instead of one is because Happy cow seems to think that all vegan eateries should automatically get one more star, so it's not a choice for me - unable to click one star.
