This restaurant closed - Edit
The whole building closed it's doors.
At least this saves you the trouble of locating it only to find that it no longer exists.

So great! - Edit
FYI, there is a hot buffet AND a cold buffet, which is back toward the entrance and has salad stuff/fresh vegetables.
The hot bar is unreal. The foods are so good, I ate a TON, and the desserts were 50/50 in great/mediocre.
You should absolutely go here.
Also, the businesses under them have all closed, so the stairs are kind of sketchy. Don't let this deter you.
Pros: All vegan, All you can eat!, Friendly

Nice place for quick, inexpensive lunch - Edit
Yu Su Ge is a nice, friendly place with a very affordable buffet. I found all the dishes to be a bit oily. I think the description above has a small mistake: you should turn right from Tianfu Square if you are facing in the direction of Mao's statue.

Buffet and Sichuan hotpot - Edit
We were there for dinner. There are two options - a hotpot (43 yuan per person) or buffet (28 yuan per person). My husband took hotpot and me - buffet, to compare. The buffet was good, lots of dishes to choose from including salads, soups, main dishes with side rice or noodles, and sweets (cake and cookies). Great value for money. The taste was good, but for me personally a bit too oily and too many green and red peppers. I know it's Sichuanese style, but we also tried buffet at Wenshu temple here in Chengdu and the taste was more balanced.
The hotpot has a huge variety of ingredients to choose from, but I thought it would be nice to be guided how to make it - locals know better what to put and in what proportion. Again, the stock was not so much hot as too oily for us.
The location is good, on a busy pedestrian street in the very centre. The staff is nice and friendly, even though they had hardly any English they made a real effort to communicate.
Pros: lots of choice, good location, friendly staff, gre
Cons: a bit too oily

Great local vegan buffet - Edit
A lovely first meal in Chengdu full of local flavours. None of the individual dishes were stand outs, but the overall buffet was :)
Easy to find, nice service, cheap (38Y for both of us) good food and a calm quiet atomosphere on a Saturday night.

Yu Su Ge - Vegan Cafeteria - Edit
WOW. What a find. This is the best of the best. 15 RMB($2.50) all you can eat Vegan Buffet or 33 RMB($6.50) Hot Pot. The buffet has 20 hot or salad dishes, 8 soups, bread, rice, tea, juice, hot soy milk and quite a good coffee. Water on request(hot). Arguably the best food value to be found anywhere and the most Eco-earth friendly as they encourage us to be conscience and not be wasteful by charging 20 RMB to start and then return 5 RMB if you return an empty tray.
This is delicious Vegan food that is served up with with ever changing dishes to a steady stream of about 100 (seating for about 150) vegetarians and non-vegetarians that make this their restaurant of choice. I took a little bit of most dishes but they kind of all mix in so next time I will select 5 or six items and then go back to try more.
With your back to Kowloon Plaza look up to the 4th floor and one can see the phone #62433378 on the right and below that is the Elevator entrance next to the #67(not reading Chinese there is no mention of the Hotel). On the far left of the building is the staircase(we can all us the exercise).
Pros: Great food/price, 2 blks E of Metro/TianFu Square, Vegan/Eco-friendly
Cons: Cafeteria , not one where I live, tend to eat too much

Excellent Combination - Edit
A super-cheap vegan buffet, this has everything I want. Dinner is better as there is soy beef ribs/chilli peppers, and free cookies. To get there exit the Tianfu subway station exit (where lines 1, and 2 intersect), that is in the center of the water fountain park (I forgot which exit it is), there will be a Mao Zedong statue, and Science/Technology museum face you, then turn right. Turn right unto a Qingnian street, and you will see a building opposite Kowlwoon plaza, the restaurant will be on the fourth floor.

Great Vegan Find! - Edit
Thankfully the first reviewer provided the clues to find this place, and we are glad we did. It's not much on ambience, but for 15 RMB (~$2.50), it's a great vegan all-you-can-eat meal. It is cafeteria style, but the packed crowd of Chinese told us we were in the right place!
Pros: inexpensive, many selections, friendly
Cons: cafeteria style, noisy,

Amazing! - Edit
Who would believe that in the midst of overpriced Shunxi road one would find this simple but delicious vegan "eat all you want" cafeteria. Enter opposite Kowloon Plaza and walk up to the 4th and last floor. Lunch only $2! Dinner with cookies for dessert $3! Well, actually it's 3 & 4 but if you return an empty tray you get a dollar refund :) The owner is a true vegan trying to promote a vegan lifestyle among the Sichuan carnivores. Enjoy!
Pros: simple but delicious food, dirt cheap, you will never leave hungry :)
