Everything was outstanding - Edit
The non-vegans devoured the nachos, the kids loved the quesadillas and I’m going back for the crunch wrap.

Been many times - Edit
Ok been here many times now --- the potato and fish tacos are the best byfar (imo :)) --- I have realized sadly I don't love their mock meat. But the stuff I like here I LOVE and come here often!

Some things are *amazing* (breakfast burrito, omg, wish it was available all day every day!!! Only weekends til noon or sellout), some are just okay (some tacos better than others, I didn't love the hibiscus), but everything is pretty darn good and all vegan. Also, random but their chocolate chip cookie is way up my alley, not too sweet, so good.
Definitely recommend!

Leiderside carnivore dilemma - Edit
Took my meat eating friend here and he had the chicken burrito. He loved it and couldn’t believe it was vegan. He now plans on taking his wife. I had the Bistec A La Mexicana plate which was very tasty. Definitely not a place to come for vegetables, but a fun break from my typical vegan diet

Delicious burritos - Edit
Stopped by this place and got the California burrito, really great. It has vegan carne asada that was super tasty. My friend got the al pastor burrito which he loved too. This place is nothing fancy, just delicious solid Mexican food and nice vibes 👍

Fantastic tacos - Edit
I’ve been here a couple of times and the food is consistently delicious. I will always go for the tacos and the potatoes taco and fish taco ate my favorite. My husband had the carnitas burrito and it had an excellent flavor. Definitely worth a try!

A favorite now… - Edit
If you’re ever in the OC area, this place is a must try for excellent Mexican food. I ordered the Asada Burrito which was delicious and satisfying. I also ordered the Cauliflower Ceviche Tostado which was equally good. For dessert, I tried the Horchata Ice Cream Sandwich which was great. But I have to say, it was very similar to the Cool Haus brand you can buy at the store.

Great relleno - Edit
So many options! I got the chile relleno, and it was delightful, except for the crema. The relleno was stuffed solid with a firm homemade cheeze, I think cashew-based. It went nicely with the big smoky pepper and the red sauce. The dish came with thick homemade corn tortillas, and these were top-notch. Rice and beans were okay. Quemada salsa was excellent.
Read moreThe tacos were a little underwhelming. The potatoes seemed baked rather than roasted. The asada filling was spongy and tasted of black pepper. I’m eager to try the other flavors, though.
I really didn’t care for the crema —sour and sharp. But I never liked dairy sour cream either, so YMMV. The beans and rice were more flavorful when eaten cold as leftovers the next day.
Pros: Big portions, great variety, cute outdoor tables
Cons: Chips not included

Very good Mexican food - Edit
I had a hibiscus taco & an al pastor taco. Great, flavorful combination. The hibiscus taco was particularly good. Also had a horchata which was a real treat. My only food complaint would be that the rice & beans were boring so I don't think it's worth it to order a plate.

Fantastic Tacos! - Edit
We tried four different taco proteins. The carne asada and hibiscus proteins were delicious! The al pastor was okay, and the carnitas were a bit slimy. California was yummy 😋

Ok - Edit
We've tried tacos Carnitas, Chicken, Al Pastor & Fish. Classic Breakfast Burrito. To be honest out of 4 tacos only 1 was nice - the Fish one. Others - absolutely the same, wouldn't tell them apart. The burrito was good tho!

Good and fast - Edit
I came because I was intrigued by the idea of using hibiscus as a meat analog. I am not a fan of corn tortillas so the register guy recommended a burrito. We ordered chips, salsa and guac to go with our burritos. Chips were excellent. Salsa had a lot of heat but not much flavor and guac was okay (but hey, it was guac so it's always going to be okay at least). I was underwhelmed by the hibiscus in the burrito but I think it's because the burrito was so overwhelming with rice and beans and the huge tortilla - the hibiscus just got lost in there and could not be the star it wanted to be. My son liked his veg carnitas burrito. Simple order at the counter place with a decent bit of outdoor seating that is hidden from the main drag by a nice hedge. The Jamaica was fantastic and for that, I was really grateful. I might try it again but it wasn't an over-the-moon experience for me.

We’ve been fans since they used to do Sunday pop-ups, and are so happy to see this restaurant succeeding!
Read moreWe’ve tried lots of things on the menu, and they are always adding new items or rotating specials, including weekend brunch options like breakfast burritos and chilaquiles.
My personal favorite is the potato tacos. A two-taco plate with beans and rice is the perfect meal. My husband loves the quesadillas and has been trying their different house made proteins each time.
The nachos and asada fries are also both fantastic choices.
They also have house made drinks, which almost always includes their vegan horchata.
We’re lucky to have so many vegan options these days, but it feels great to support a small business who makes their cheeses and proteins themselves. Definitely give them a try if you’re in Orange County!
Pros: Make their own cheese, proteins, and drinks, Rotating specials , Offers an outdoor patio
Cons: Parking lot is kinda weird, but always has spots

The tacos at this place are incredible! I had the potato taco and the hibiscus taco. I also had an asada burrito which was delicious as well. The tacos were the stars of the show though. And that hibiscus taco…WOW! A must try for everyone.

My bf dreams about the tacos ong. One of our favorite places to go! The homemade corn tortillas are bomb, soft and thick. The hibiscus tacos are a *must try*! Always fresh horchata and at least one flavor of agua fresca, try mixing them if you’re feeling adventurous.

This is a great go-to for veg food if you’re nearby it. Admittedly, not worth a far drive just for this, but still sooo yummy. We came here after hiking the perimeter of crystal cove and completely devoured two burritos and a plate of nachos. I’d be happy if this was closer to me and would definitely return.
