Tasty and nice location - Edit
It is located very close to Harajuku and Shibuya, easy to spot thanks to the neon sign by the window that says “Vegan” ! The food is amazing, so tasty and rich. Went with some non-vegan friends and they loved it. Staff is friendly and ready to help you with questions and advices. We had the gyozas, karage and ramen and they were all 10/10

So good! - Edit
Stopped in for lunch. I got the vegetable soy sauce ramen, and the broth was delicious! My partner got the vegan karabon, which had good flavor but very spicy. The gyoza were a nice addition to our meals.

Spicy ramen! - Edit
Typical ramen place with quick service of ramen and gyoza, but all vegan! A vegan version of the downstairs restaurant, with a good variety of ramen including good soy meat "steak". Spicy though! 🌶️

This cozy spot has a typical Japanese restaurant atmosphere. The staff is very kind, and the location is charming. My lunch was unforgettable, the food was excellent. There’s nothing to complain about. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Get the Jangara flavor in vegan! - Edit
We were really excited to try some tasty vegan mock meat, particularly one that could be similar to the chasu you get in traditional ramen, and this was the right call for that!
Read moreWe had the juju grill and the vegan kobonshan ramen, and both were absolutely fantastic, especially the "meat" they both had.
We wish we could have tried some other dishes there since the menu was quite extensive and it all looked amazing! But I have to say, having a main dish per person was more than enough, the portion did not look too large but it was satiating enough :)
Pros: High quality and flavourful food, Not too long of a wait despite its popularity, Very well located in a popular area (Harajuku)

Good spot - Edit
When we arrived, there were two groups ahead of us, but the wait wasn’t too bad. As with many places in Japan, once seated, the service was quick and efficient. We sampled several sides and ramens, and everything was delicious. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit!

Service was great and staff were very helpful. We ordered two types of ramen and both were delicious.
Read moreThe karabon was nice and spicy. Perfect for a cool windy day after some long walks around town.
The recommended caramel vanilla cake slice was a nice treat after the big noodle bowls.
The restaurant is also a nice audio cooldown from the bustling shinjuku streets. One floor up on the elevator and the street sounds melt away.
Pros: Service, Flavors, Location (convenient)

Great ramen and gyoza! - Edit
I really enjoyed the ramen and gyoza. The garlic broth was rich and tasty. The gyoza was phenomenal - the dough was nice and chewy and the filling was flavourful. The soy meat had great texture and flavour. The noodles were chewy and great amount for the broth.

Tasty gyoza - Edit
You have to look up as this restaurant is on the 2nd floor and you take the lift. We arrived and were asked to sit on a bench with others (not a table) and then they took our order and rushed off. When I saw the people next to ,e we’re getting take away, I asked at the counter if we could sit at a table. They then seated me. I’m not sure if they thought we were getting take away or if we would have been seated. I had the gyoza first which I really enjoyed. I also ordered ramen kobonoshan. It was nice without being spectacular. There were plenty of noodles and the soy meat piece I had was nice. My partner really enjoyed the curry that he ordered.

We tried the Karabon (a very good spicy) and the Kobonshan (very smooth, garlicky) ramens and both were super delicious. The place is cozy and there is a waiting line around lunch time but well worth it!

Good value, good food - Edit
We tried 2 dishes including the grill plate. Good food, although was maybe a little lacking in flavour compared to some others in Tokyo. Value for money, and clearly a popular spot - you may have to wait for a table, particularly in bigger groups.

Pretty Good! Decent Price! Mind the Spice! - Edit
Came out here one night after a trip to Ikebukuro.
Read moreI forget the exact menu item I ordered, but it was some sort of spicy ramen bowl. It was a bit too spicy for my buds, though still comfortable to eat. Probably a bit below a CoCo Ichi level 3 curry.
The noodles had a pleasant chewiness to them, and I was able to order extra with my bowl for cheap. This made for a really robust and affordable bowl of ramen. You'll definitely be full for what you pay.
There was maybe a 15-20 minute wait at the time I went; which was just before they were set to stop taking orders.
Its hard to judge if Vegan Bistro Jangara lives up to the hype based on one bowl of spicy ramen, but I will definitely swing by this place next time im in Harajuku. The bowl I had showed a lot of potential and makes me excited for the other menu items!

Our favorite Restaurant during our time in Japan - Edit
We tried many different vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Japan and this was our favorite one. The food is great, the menu has a lot to offer, without being overloaded or being not authentical. The staff is friendly and professionell, waiting times due to high demand are a thing, but not too long.
Read moreThere was only one other restaurant in Japan, that served tastier dishes during our stay, but that one is in Kyoto and on the pricier side.

Great vegan ramen - Edit
Probably one of the better ramen in Tokyo.
Read moreLocated not far from the Harajuku station, this place is located on the 2nd floor.
They offer a full vegan menu with western and Japanese dishes.
I would recommend to try their ramens, but make sure to ask how spicy it is because some of them are really hot.
This place is very popular and there is usually people waiting in line.
Staff speaks a little English and are friendly but not the most efficient. Some are waiting for 20min while there were tables available.
Prices are mid range which is normal for Tokyo.
Not many tables inside so try to go early as possible.

Great food but long wait to be seated - Edit
We ate here two times, both times during the Aperó time. To our surprise, people queued in line, waiting to be seated for 20 minutes even though the restaurant was half empty (look at the photo, two free tables and 6 seats at the big table).
Read moreStaff seemed idle and not interested in people who were waiting, but after we were finally seated they were very polite and welcoming.
The food is really, really good. We tried different stuff and everything was very tasty, especially the ramen and buffalo “chicken”. We wanted to try the poutine, but unfortunately they were sold out so we opted for chilli fries on our second visit - they were made very well, but no sauce came with them.
We tried both cakes aswell and they were also tasty, and we recommend you to try their home crafted cola drink (do not expect classic cola taste though).
This would easily be 5 stars if not for the unnecessary wait while the restaurant is half empty.
