Oystermushroomlicious! - Edit
I travel often and as an 8.5 year Vegan, I’ll disrupt the most complex of travel plans to sample/support Vegan restaurants. There’s many that serve commercially available products which in fact are vegan, but then there are vegan restaurants which represent the passionate lifestyle through their food (e.g. chik sandwiches made with oyster mushrooms). Yesterday was my first visit and absolutely looking forward to working my way through the menu. I tried the Buffalo Chkn and Cold Buster Elderberry Tea-the tea was super refreshing and the sandwich was fantastic….just make sure you have plenty of napkins. Super clean place and really welcoming staff.

Vegan Bar - Edit
Jerk Chick'n tacos were good. Came with a side of fries. I missed out by not getting a smoothie, but I will definitely get one the next time I go here!

A New Fave - Edit
I'm so happy to find a completely vegan place out in the suburbs! Their menu has a really nice variety of options and my meal was delicious. I especially love that you can order almost the whole breakfast menu all day. I ordered the breakfast sandwich when I went and was very happy with my meal. Will definitely be back!

Good food, odd placement situation - Edit
Went here while we were in town, happy to see a fully vegan restaurant in Naperville! Ordered the nachos, double jalapeño cheeseburger, and avocado burger.
Read moreThe man who took my order must’ve been having a bad day because he didn’t smile once. The woman at the counter was very nice though, although she didn’t take my order. I greeted them both, and took a little time looking at the menu. The man behind the counter seemed agitated that I was taking a while, yet there wasn’t anyone else in the restaurant/line. When I ordered, he didn’t ask if I wanted anything else, just told me the total and held out his hand for my card. Later when two people came in after me, the woman took their order and she asked them if they wanted to sub normal fires for sweet potato fries. I was not offered this option, and I would’ve totally said yes because they are my husband’s favorite! Felt very disappointed with the service from the man, but the woman smiled big when she brought it out for me. I’m not judging the guy! Everyone has bad days, I hope he’s okay, or hope he works in the kitchen from now on if this was a typical day for him.
The restaurant is small, I’m assuming it’s exclusively meant for take out. There are two small tables with three stools. There is no bathroom. The menu is hard to read, as it’s printed kind of small on the electric menu boards on the back wall. I should’ve brought my glasses.
The food was pretty good. The lettuce on both burgers was not the right lettuce though. I think it might have been bad because it was pretty dark and not crisp. The queso on both the jalapeño burger and the nachos was phenomenal, however the chips in the nachos were pretty soggy, even though we ate in the car quickly after picking it up. The avocado burger was very bland, and the burger itself was very thin. I know it’s a beyond burger, but when we make ours at home they are much thicker, so I’m assuming they use a patty masher/spatula. Fries were a little too soft for our liking. Our order cost about $45.
I would be opening to try it again, but only if I’m in the area. I don’t see it, at this point, as a restaurant I would go out of my way for. They are still new though! I am open to giving them time to get their groove going.
Pros: Queso, Woman owner, Proudly vegan
Cons: Expensive , No bathroom, Male owner (could just be a bad day for him!)
