This was such a pleasure to eat at!!!

Had the daily menu - starter: veggie broth with brussel sprouts - proper school cantine flash back:P, main: shnitzel with the eastern european style potato salad - very delicious and huge portion, and extra cucumber salad - very tasty and enormous portion :D
Flushed down with the pubs own wheat beer, so refreshing.
Great interioiur of typical czech pub - knajpa :D
Amazin fast and friendly staff, great music!
Only that bit of cheese on the menu keeps me from giving 5*
I must come back tho, just hope to see the menu without cheese :)))

Vegan pub - Edit
Traditional czech cuisine in vegan form, cheap prices, tasty beers, be prepared for pub atmosphere, it is definitely not a luxurious place, but dumplings are luxurious!

Super tasty vegan food! - Edit
We've really enjoyed our dinner there! 🤩🤩
Read moreI was with my boyfriend, who is not vegan, he loved the food!! Really tasty, a lot of different dishes, vegan meat options. There is one section with dishes with diary cheese, and everything else is vegan. Service was nice and friendly. I liked it 😊 the only thing that didn't suit me was that it was underground and not that airly, but everything else - 👌🏻it's a pity that I didn't do a photos, but I was so excited to try the food 😁 price is normal for the quality food.
Pros: Almost everything vegan, Big variety
Cons: Under the ground

The best vegan goulash you will ever try - Edit
One of the best vegan places for me. Their goulash is absolutely UNMATCHED. Pay this place a visit when you're in Brno, you shouldn't miss it! It has its own punk atmosphere and the food is simply marvelous.

Traditional Czech food - Edit
Definitely good place for vegans who like to get something different than veg burgers and hot dogs while travelling. Pub vibe with loud music, not recommended if you willing to have a chill dinner.

Went twice in our overnight stay in Brno - Edit
I went to Vegalite on a recommendation for a potato pancake with vegan cheese from a friend who lives in Brno. I was not disappointed but realised the vegan cheese is not my favourite thing. And there was a lot of it in this dish. The portion was huge. Inspite of that I managed to have one more dish and tried some from my fiance's choices and everything tasted great. So great that we came back the other day and had the chance to try the goulash, oyster mashroom soup, skewers and something called "opekanky" I think. Everything was amazing again and we already have a trip planned to Brno mainly to visit Vegalite again😄
Read morePros: wide selection of local beers and ciders, board games such as Scrabble available, free water
Cons: coffee, they serve a few dishes with regular cheese

Hipster Vegan Restaurant in Brno - Edit
Hipster vegan resturant close to the Moravske Namesti. Be prepared for the hipster interier and not to much smiling service. But on the other side no problem service and they are able to recommend you food from the menu depends what you want.
Read moreMenu is huge from czech specialities to non-czech cuisine. You can choose from few beer and wines. Also from many non-alcoholic drinks. Prices are incredibly low! Food for 4$/3,5€ is nothing if you realize that food is about 300grams. The smallest portions!!!
In late hours you can also visit restaurant and listen some music, because they have lot of concerts, almost every day.
PS:
If I can recommend, try Svíčková with dumplings!
Pros: Czech clasics, Price, Service

Nice for a weekday lunch - Edit
I work nearby so I visit quite often for the lunch menu. There I days when it’s hard to choose but overall the food is good, even though it might be weird for foreigners - it offers Czech food or Czech takes on word cuisine.

Das Ambiente erinnert an eine Studentenkneipe. Das Essen kommt prompt und es schmeckt okay. Die Kellnerinnen sind nicht sonderlich motiviert.

Tough love - Edit
Love the atmosphere, the Czech feeling (for foreigner sometimes unbearable) of typical pub.
Read moreDislike the waiting times and jumping quality of the food. Sometimes it's super delicious, sometimes it's without taste, you never know. The service has their better and worse days and you can feel it.
I like it much better since there is a ban on smoking inside.
I go there, however, only when I have much time and solid hunger. The size / value ratio is incredible.
Despite and due to that for all those years Vegal is still one of the most favorites of mine.
Pros: punk pub atmosphere, big menu
Cons: portions are BIG (funny con, I know), jumping quality of food and service

Food wasn’t for me - Edit
We had the traditional Czech dishes but we both didn’t enjoy them much. I think it’s a taste preference thing and we might have been happier with a different choice. However, we really liked the punk vibe.

Great lunch - Edit
We visited Vegalité for lunch during our stay in Brno. For just 100 CZK you get a nice lunch menu consisting of soup and main course. Staff was very friendly and fast. The place is located in a basement, which was nice too as it's been a bit cooler than the 33 degrees of outside temperature.

Finally had veg. goulash - Edit
The goulash I had here was very good. finally found a restaurant who makes it without meat. Dishes in general are very good. Staff was really friendly. Prices are incredible. 0,5L of beer cost us 1,4euro. Brno itself was dissapointing, but this place made up for it.

Punk's not dead in Brno! - Edit
This punk-rock pub offers daily menus as well as permanent offer of czech meals as well as some international and junk food. I think that most of the food is vegan, but watch out as there are some sneaky vegetarian meals. Food is average to good, I never had a bad food here. They often throw punk, hardcore and other gigs in the main room. Prices are appropriate.

Great ghulash but... - Edit
They have an amazing vegan ghulash, but we also had lasagna which was heated up and cold in the middle - average tasting (the warm part..). Ok service, the atmosphere might turn you off a bit if you're not into alternative.
