A hidden gem for vegan Coasties - Edit
I’ve been twice to Vegalicious now and each time I was driven there I was struck by how hidden this absolute gem is from the main road or thoroughfare at Ettalong, and also how difficult this place is to access by public transportation, which is both a shame and part of Vegalicious’ charm. Because there aren’t hordes of people here, you’re guaranteed a free, quiet seat outside in the peaceful garden area where time slows down, with food made with love and without rush or haste by Monique and Sean. Both of them are such lovely and generous people (not a married couple just to set the record here straight) they gave me a top-up of my chai latte for free because Sean still had a bit left over, and also a free brownie when closing up, even taking the time to heat it up and surprise us with it! I brought my very much non-vegan grandpa here for lunch and he was impressed by the food, so much so he raved about the creamy macadamia milk in his flat white and asked me when he could buy it from 😁 I could recommend any one of the dishes on their chalkboard menu as everything is great but I am biased towards the loaded nachos and antipasti bowl especially. The nachos are absolutely smothered in several types of vegan cheese and sauce, with the sour cream being heavenly and generous, and the antipasti bowl is a Mediterranean flavour explosion. Not to mention this is the only café/restaurant I’ve come across in Australia that offers tigernut milk… and at no extra charge of course! They also offer a nice variety of desserts too- the cheesecake is just ok but the brownies are where its really at. Overall, a relaxing hideaway for vegans to slow down, breathe, and have quiet time over a lovingly made dish you didn’t have to ask any questions about 😌

Fully coeliac safe. Very good variety, tasty, perfect if you're vegan with a coeliac partner, or both yourself. Enjoyed the nachos and the panang curry (I added a bit of salt).

Pros: Gluten free as well withvalue for money, Filling but not too heavy meal for me, 5 different meal choices
Cons: Took a little long to get our meal, they got busy, A fair way to drive from home- about an hour. Lol

Got there around 1130am, I loved the nachos and my cousin had the Healthy bowl, which I'll have next time, it looked awesome!! Great customer service and friendly staff. Didn't see many sweet delights and they had run out of rice paper rolls unfortunately. Nice little spot sitting outside the centre.

Surprise gem on the Central Coast - Edit
We weren't expecting to find a fully vegan cafe in Umina but (thanks to HappyCow) I'm very happy we did. We had the nachos which featured vegan cheese and sour cream such a nice change from the usual where you get given but regular nachos without the good stuff. They were delicious and a huge serving. The pecan dessert was yummy too.

I got the rice paper rolls and sausage roll. Both were just ok. The lettuce in the rice paper rolls wasn’t fresh and i couldn’t taste the sauerkraut kraut. The sausage roll seemed liked a frozen thing. Not sure if it was fresh made but it didn’t have the sausage flavor I was hoping for.

I had the big breakfast plate. They had run out of hash browns so gave us some extra sausages. It was very tasty and super filling. The tofu scramble was really nice. I also tried the dragon fruit smoothie which was very tasty.

Been coming here all year as the food is really good. Enjoyed a Sweet Potato Satay as well as a delightful Dahl and quinoa for lunch today all washed down with a soy turmeric latte. This husband and wife cafe is absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended. Best vegan cafe we have been too.

I make it my mission to eat at this charming hidden gem as often as possible, despite the fact that it's 90 minutes up the road for me. All the food I have tried is nothing short of delicious, both savoury and sweet.

The tucked away location of this restaurant adds to its charm. However, it is unfortunate that it is not more visible to mainstream traffic. This cafe deserves more recognition, as more people should have the opportunity to enjoy the incredible food and warm, friendly service. The owners are welcoming and dedicated to providing quality vegan, gluten free food and beverages.

In the northwest corner of the Ettalong Galleria, behind Cinema Paradiso a true Vegan Paradiso exists, and it's Vegaliscious! Vegan Monique's cafe if is an adorable, tidy, plant based kitchen surrounded by a sunny patio just south of Woy Woy in Ettalong Beach. I came in for a smoothie and found myself offered a special custom brunch bowl, just because I said it was too early for pasta. Not sure what possessed me to state something so silly, but the results were amazing! Incredible, fresh, affordable and delicious. Couldn't ask for more, except literally-- more! Yes, please!
