We have used happycow for 9 months travelling and this is the first time I've wanted to write a review immediately after.
Read moreAs another reviewer mentioned, the love and care from the chef is so evident in every part of the food, from the flavours, the freshness of the ingredients, everything down to the dressing on the side salad.
We had a vegan burger and a plate of the meatballs with potatoes and salad, and the empanaditas to share. It was great to try a Colombian traditional snack as normally they're always meat, these were made with soya mince and came with a beautiful smoky pepper salsa.
The texture and flavour of the meatballs was gorgeous and so convincing as meaty even though made from quinoa and lentils. As many have said the burger is perfect and gorgeous in every way. Nice juices too and glad I got to try Colombian Lulo juice for the first time.
So glad we went. Good value for money and just amazing, I'm a vegan chef and normally not easily impressed ;)

Also thought the atmosphere was chilled and nice to sit outside - not noisy at all!

A Vegan Option in El Poblado - Edit
I found it a good restaurant with a good menu offering good vegan meals. I did not like the service on the day. I found the attendants very "anxious" (very eager to get the order out soon and to close the account soon). As for the prices, I found it quite salty, given the average of other similar vegan restaurants in the region. But the food was good, and in great quantity.

Achei as atendentes muito “ansiosas” (muito afoitas pra sair logo o pedido e pra fechar logo a conta). Quanto aos preços, achei bastante salgados, dada a média de outros restaurantes veganos parecidos na região. Mas a comida estava boa, e em grande quantidade.

Este sitio acogedor y pequeñito es muy encantador. Es 100% vegano y la mesera fue muy atenta. Aunque haya mucho tráfico a fuera es un ambiente tranquilo. La comida muy buena. I wouldn’t rate this best in Medellin but you aren’t going to be disappointed either. The nachos were awesome with generous portions of cashew cream and guacamole. However, the empanadas were super boring, just potato filling and no seasoning. We also got the proada buenos amigas plate, which I would NOT recommend. It had more of the boring empanadas, a chewy barbecue seitan chicken, some awesome little sausages, mini Arepas that were fine, and potatoes.

Be careful y’all—they are not vegan as advertised! Veg Station is under investigation after someone tested their cheese and discovered it has milk ingredients. I love supporting local veg restaurants but this is a health hazard plus is morally unscrupulous. Someone could die from consuming dairy unknowingly. The last time I ate their nachos I felt extremely sick afterwards and I bet that’s why. So disappointed in them! The owner has only responded to the community that if they don’t believe her, they don’t need to patron the restaurant. There’s been zero denial of the claims made after these tests. Better to go there if you’re vegetarian. I won’t be returning :(

Had a bowl here with some baked potatoes and dessert (brownie with ice cream), which all tasted very good. The place itself is pretty nice, but not too special. Location-wise it's great, though, it's close to many other restaurants and bars. The staff was very friendly!

Zusammen mit einer Suppe und Jugo als Menü des Tages für ~4€, beim Zahlen wurde uns dann noch zusätzlich ein Tip in Rechnung gestellt …
