Take-out

Simple, traditional Thai jay ("vegan") restaurant. Offers a selection of pre-cooked meals, some with mock meats made from mushroom or soy protein. Meals come with brown rice. Directions: a bit hard to locate. Walk 100 meters west away from Petchkasem Rd into Soi 70, take the second small lane to right until you find another alley crossing your way in parallel to Soi 70, turn right and after 10 meters you reach the restaurant - it's marked with yellow flags with red letters on them.
Open from early morning until sold out in the afternoon. Reported open November 2023. Open Mon-Sat 9:00am-5:30pm.

Pretty good, cheap, and tasty little restaurant

No frills spot, whole in the wall kinda place.
Meals are fairly cheap, and what we ate was good.
Nothing bad to say. We'll be back if we're in the sector. We live at the other end of the beach, so it's not necessarily worth the detour but if you're in the area it will do the job for sure.
The owner was a nice lady that was helpful even with the language barrier.
I'm mostly giving it a 4 because Universal vegan is a bit better, still clearly worth a visit.

Pros: Fairly priced, Tasty, Fully Jay restaurant

It's open

Nice, small, Thai bhuddist restaurant. Open 06:30-17:30. Tasty, not so many choices, but, really ok. Recommended.
Plate around 35 bhat

Delicious (vegan) noodle soup

Always nice to find a traditional Thai place (not a Westerner 'franchise') that is 100% vegan, or so I was told, by a regular customer. I didnt actually look at the menu. I just went for what he had and I wasnt disappointed, far from it. It was simply the best vegan noodle soup I've eaten in Thailand. That's if you like 'meat' substitutes. Otherwise, don't bother. Dont take any notice of a revue that says it's too expensive. I have no idea where those people usually eat. It's super good value and totally affordable. I don't think anyone in the family speaks a word of English: authentic! #Veganuary

Simple Vegan Thai Food

Buffet style or noodles available as well as a range of snacks, drinks, vegan ingredients and also some healthcare, cosmetics and household items.
Open early morning to late afternoon (generally until the food is sold).

Pros: Cheap and generous portions.

Veg and vegan Thai food

Local restaurant with a buffet of a variety of Thai-Chinese dishes...
Everyday have different things and everyday they give you free water.
The food sells fast so, if you do not go early there will be no so much to choose from and the food will be cold.
You will always have the noodles soup, tom yam, freshly made in front of you for 35Bahts.
Kind people and little English :)
The restaurant it is a 10 minutes walk from the train station and 5 minutes from Chatchai market. Even though it is on an small alley, it is easy to find.

Pros: Local prices, Vegan, Free water

Cons: Cold food if you do not go early

Just Ok

Really too expensive for what it is. We paid 115B for 2 plates from the buffet with 3 items and the taste wasn't amazing.

Good mock meat

I recommend the kind of bacon style.
I paid 55 bht for rice , 3 pieces of tofu, one bacon and one sausage.

Was still open at 5h30pm
Opens at 6h30 am.

Also serve noodle soups, 30-35bht but not so good

Great for the price

This place is a little gem, very affordable with great mock meats. We arrived at midday and they were almost sold out so go early and get a take away if you want lunch. They also have vegan Chinese dessert out the front with take away sandwiches and pizza breads.

Pros: Cheap, Lots of options, Take away food and dry goods

Cons: Food is cold, Sells out early

Good food!

Food tasted good, but was REALLY spicy (compared to what we’re used to in Norway). They get sold out early, so don’t go there for dinner. It’s a small shop too. I’ve bought lots of instant noodles, sandwiches and some meat substitutes there!

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Bit hard to find., Sold out early., Staff don’t understand english.

Nice little place

I was so happy to discover this whole neighbourhood with various veggie restaurants. This place had a nice selection of meals to select from and I mixed and matched a big take-away bag for around 100 thb.

Pros: Good foods, Nice staff

Veganer Geheimtipp

Cons: einfache Ausstattung kein englisch

Great vegan food

The map directions are spot on, just follow them and you'll find it. We had a nice selection of buffet food and some extra vege protein pieces.

Pros: great food, easy to find, cheap

Cons: buffet so you only get what's available

Nice food, but cold

We liked the food at this buffet-type place. It was very tasty and cheap. All the foods are cold and some are very spicy.

the better of the 2 vegan buffets

We liked this one better. Very spicy so bring your water. As I said for other Buffett: Mock meats and noodle / rice dishes. Sort of a "hole in the wall" set up but the food is excellent. Very spicy! Little English spoken but enough to get by, and you can buy some little vegan treats they pack up to go!

Looks like Veg Food, which is another veg cafe near Soi 70. Lovely staff, fresh food. You can take it out. Cheap, delicious.
