I had a late lunch here after a long day exploring Delhi and ordered the rajma and rice with papad. The food was incredibly tasty and fresh and served quite quickly.
Haha we went through hell to find this place, as google maps and uber failed to get the address and the actual location of this correct. So after sitting hours in New Delhi traffic, we finally managed to find it the next day. Food was good! We tried all sorts of funky breads and dahls. Highly recommended! Rather pricy obviously but we didn’t mind.
No that is not what you have to pay if you don't want to get sick - get a grip - I ate plenty of 30-40 rupee thalis whilst in India and didn't get sick. I trust local high turnover places much more than these types of places.
The place is fancy, Indian upper middle class people, mainly high profile public servants. The food is not cheap, but the service is really nice done - they costumize the food keeping their authenticity.
I told them I was vegan and he pointed me in the direction of a number of dishes - mostly spinach ones - but in the end I opted for a vegetarian but not vegan thali. I was disappointed to be honest. There wasn't much to it. I thought the rice portion was dismally small and it was not unlimited and so there I was just with a lot of sauce and not much rice to eat it with. Very expensive for local prices too. Much better thalis elsewhere such has Ghoomar (high end, though less expensive than this - which I've just added) and Hello Vegetarian (cheap but very good).
Prices between 400-600 for most meals, lots of drinks, combination meals. We ordered one combination meal with some extra breads and it was enough for two people. Very good food, excellent service, many many options!
