Good vegan food to go - Edit
VBites is a vegan take-out counter inside of this Holland & Barrett food store. There's a nice variety of sandwiches, soups, panini, burgers, and dogs.
Read moreI had the Ham Style Cheezly panini, which was very yummy.
It was also very reasonably priced.
There is a small eating area at the front of the store, where you can watch the happenings of city centre go by through the window.
Pros: tasty vegan food, reasonably priced

For taste this is probably our favourite vegan food in the world- shame about the seating but it's usually quiet so you can find a seat without any problem

Nice variety but no terrace to appreciate the nice summer weather!

On a nice day, you're 5 minutes walk away from the Cathedral, the roman gardens, or even Grovesnor park - well worth the walk to eat in nice surroundings!

Obsessed with here... - Edit
We come every time we go to Chester - there so much choice and it is delicious! Cannot fault the food or the staff - the only annoying thing is that the tables are not by the food place so youre eating right in the window of the shop and you feel a bit like youre in a zoo. The cake is amazing too! I would definitely recommend here to anyone.

What an absolute Vegan Gem . Found Vbites by chance . The selection is out of this world I really couldn’t believe it . I was on a journey back to Kent so stocked up on wraps and sandwiches for the trip . Great tasty healthy food and the service was so quick . The fast cafe food was freshly made to order . Mind blowing , thank you Vbites you never let us down . Hope to see one in every town very soon .

good food! - Edit
The food is decent and relatively quick. The only downside I have is that the staff I’ve been served by are really miserable and don’t sell the vegan movement well. Hire someone that’s passionate and wants the change to happen. Besides that, not bad

Vbites delights. - Edit
A great, convenient place to grab some vegan snacks in the centre of Chester (located inside the Holland and Barrett store), with the main focus being on meat alternatives. A great selection of meals made from VBites products, but also the option for items such as pies and pastries, jacket potatoes, and homemade soups. Very friendly staff, seating at the front of the H&B store, and H&B offers (and I’d assume vouchers) apply here too! I’d personally prefer more salad options, but understand products outside of the VBites range would be kept to minimum.
Read morePros: Convenient vegan food, Great location, Massive selection of vegan meat alternatives
Cons: Lack of salads/fresh produce.

naughty treats! - Edit
I was in Chester looking for a place to get some vegan food, quite disappointed for the area, I though there would be a lot more but luckily Vbites had a lot to offer! Sandwiches, burgers, wraps and smoothies. I had the hotdog and it was yummy! It was a little slow but with the wait.

Excellent, all-vegan menu - we loved it! - Edit
Huge selection of burgers, wraps, panninis, and desserts - all vegan. This menu has a widee variety of meat and cheese substitutes. Really impressive selection, and really delicious food, made right in front of you in a deli-style cafe.
Read moreI was also impressed that the containers the food came in were made from sugar cane, and were 100% compostible.
This cafe is located inside Holland and Barrett, and is not street-facing so you have to go about two-thirds of the way into the store to see it.
I can't recommend it highly enough!
Pros: Wide variety of vegan foods (all items are vegan), Ample selection of meat and cheese substitutes., Right in the centre of town.
Cons: It should be much bigger!

Quick & Easy - Edit
This is such an easy, fairly affordable way to get some on the go food. The majority of the food is stuff you can buy yourself from the vbites website or in Holland and Barett so if you particularly liked something you can always make it yourself at home too!
Read moreThey do, however, sell cake and stuff they've made themselves which are super lovely, I would deffo recommend.

Great addition to H&B - Edit
We enjoyed a southern fried chicken-style burger and a meatball-style sub, but there were so many options it was a tough choice! Staff were very friendly and happy to explain the menu special. We were able to browse the store (which itself is so much larger than any other H&B we've visited) whilst we waited for our order. Food was tasty and affordable. A very fun city centre option.

McDonald's your days are numbered! Situated in a large Holland and Barrett in the centre of Chester - this is the future of the high street take away scene. An extensive menu including wraps, burgers, sandwiches, salads, puddings, etc. A fantastic venue. No seating but dont pass by this chance.

eclectic menu - Edit
A take away cafe selling a variety of vbites (redwoods) burgers, wraps, sandwiches and drinks. There's also a range of cakes, including a Victoria sponge (!) and milkshakes. Chester has plenty of green spaces and riverside benches to enjoy the food on. The duck wrap and cheese and marmite panini were bit hits. The chicken burger could do with a little pep. Popular, tasty and entirely vegan in the high street. Fabulous.
