Serves meat, vegan options available. Cocktail lounge and restaurant offering a black bean burger that can be made vegan upon request by omitting cheese. Open Mon-Thu 4:00pm-12:00am, Fri-Sat 12:00pm-12:30am, Sun 12:00pm-12:00am.
“Can be made vegan” means you’ll pay $16 for worse than school lunch. - Edit
I ordered the black bean burger, which the menu said "can be made vegan on request." It turns out that means paying $16 for a frozen Morningstar patty (lukewarm, not even hot) with no sauce, no bun, and some raw vegetables thrown on top. For that price, they could at least sauté the onions and put some sort of sauce on it. I had to ask for ketchup. They also said that they don't do lettuce wraps in lieu of buns.
Cool spot with accommodating staff - the black bean burger is clearly labeled on menu as vegan when cheese is withheld. It comes with a very generously portioned salad, and they whipped up an oil and vinegar dressing for me. Several appetizers can also be vegan without the mayo-based sauces (friend pickles, fried Brussels sprouts, sweet potato fries).
They lied to one of us, or someone made a mistake. My server said that the bun isn’t vegan. They wouldn’t even do a lettuce wrap to replace the bun. I’m so sorry, but there’s a good chance you had animal products without knowing it.
