Delicious and Vegan

I ordered the Fornem - it was barbecue bean patty with potato salad, mushrooms, and tomatoes served on a waffle and I also had a non alcoholic local beer. The flavors were so good!

Perfect Norwegian Food

Great All-Vegan Restaurant with awesome norwegian-style food (most probably unique in Norway). Different meals in different sizes, great desserts and lovely, very passionate hosts.

Most tasty vegan food in Norway

The food is amazing and something I was searching for a while in Norway - local norwegian dishes! Finally a vegan restaurant that doesn't serve only bowls and burgers but awesomely tasty vegan waffles with different toppings.
Don't think twice if you have the possibility to go there. It is definitely worth it and you won't regret it!

Best meal in Norway


Run don't walk to Vasty. You don't have to be vegan to enjoy this restaurant, the food is unique and insanely delicious. I especially loved the "Happy Salmon." We enjoyed our dinner so much that we went back in the morning for a late breakfast/early lunch before leaving Alesund. Five enthusiastic stars.

The vegan taste of Norway!

Fantastic food - we tried the Hav and the Villniss - for a fair price! A must for all those that seek the flavours of Norway in a new, original and consious way. The host is really passionate about their restaurant, and that passion obviously shows, from the side dishes up to the delicious coffee. When in Ålesund, don't hesitate to stop by.

Best wholefood plant-based restaurant in town

How lucky I've been to find this wonderful and delicious restaurant with amazing wholefood plant-based food (everything is vegan here but there is something tasty for everyone). Prepared with real passion, great cook and flavours from norway. Prices were much lower than other basic restaurant or fastfood. Great discovery in Ålesund.

All Vegan Paradise

Veganism and Norway is probably not the most obvious combination, but here at Vasty the dishes are a perfect blend of Norwegian home made classics and health conscious cuisine.

The menu is small, but offers three warm dishes to chose from, we had two and I must say both were awesome. Fresh vegetables and herbs, exciting plant based meat or fish alternatives like the Kelp-balls (captures nicely the refined aroma of seafood) will not only make you smile bit also wish there were more places like this.

I'd have ordered a second warm dish, it it was not for the desert selection on display, three cakes and a veganized pancake with sugar-butter cream. My favourite must be the carrot cake, very nice consistency. The combination with wild berries jam - just delicious.

The coffee was probably the best we had here in Norway, all in all an exceptional experience.

The interior is stylish and Nordic, almost too nice for my laissez-faire attire a.k.a. hiking shorts and t-shirt :)

Nice small vegan cafe. Salad boxes and berry tart good.

A more varied menu would be nice

Nice

We had a nice lunchbox and a lemonade.

Cons: Expensive but i think norwegian normal price
