Cool space

We were greeted and seated promptly. Lovely ambience with live music (Friday night). Was asked to order through QR code and unfortunately could not request VGO for many of the items marked VGO on the paper menu. Ended up ordering the vegan pasta which was meh 😐

Pros: Nice ambience , Quick service , Convenient location

Cons: Not many vegan options , Vegan option I tried was lacking in flavour

simple solo dinner

Vapiano is a pretty pleasant place to sit after a long day at work with a plate of pasta and a glass of wine. It's busy but spacious and the lighting is soft and warm. I ordered via QR code at the table and my meal came quickly. I ordered the creamy mushroom sauce with extra plant based chicken and fettucini. The cream sauce is apparently lentil based and not too heavy but it had very little mushroom in it and the chicken was a bit rubbery. I like my pasta al dente but found the fettucini a bit too toothy. For what it was, I thought $40 for the pasta and an average glass of rosé was too expensive. It's conveniently located and quick though so I might try again.

Simple but good

Gnocchi pomodoro with chilli oil - it's simple but it hits the spot. If you're after fancy Italian food don't come here. Great ambiance and cool cocktails. Staff could be a bit more helpful though.

So many options

I know this will become a regular because of the range of options, tastiness of the meals and it's central location. Seating is comfortable,
I had the ravioli which was perfectly cooked, a good size and served with bread (free with the order). I notice they had recently added more options to the menu.
You do have to go up and order, get a buzzer and find somewhere to sit. It's busy, but the food is fresh.

Vegan Parmesan cheese is so bomb!

The vegan options are amazing and there are plenty. The menu clearly displays what is vegan. Vegan parmesan cheese is SO good. They have a vegan dessert as well.

Speedy Feedy

Vapiano can seat up to 250 people; for this reason this establishment prioritises preparing the food extremely quickly and has no service staff on the floor. It has adopted a food hall style where each course is ordered at a separate counter and diners wait while it is prepared.

The food itself is quite tasty. We had bruschetta and a couple of pastas; Aglio e Olio and Ratatouille (Vegan options) and quite enjoyed all of them.

Customer service is a little on the sterile side; you may find yourself a little confused on the first visit as to how you order and where to pay etc.

Overall, quite good value as the serves are large and tasty. There are a number of Vegan options to explore on further visits.
