Limited but usually good vegan options - Edit
Update: Van Beeren will reopen with new owners, chef and menu in March 2026. Fingers crossed it's even more vegan friendly!
Read moreOn this, our last visit before it changes hands, we again enjoyed wonderful service and very good food.

Van Beeren always has vegan options (typically a starter, a salad, one or two main courses, and vegan bitterballen) though they don't change very often.
I'm not a fan of celeriac but the celeriac satay is very good. I've had it twice now!
The butternut squash was disappointingly boring.
Be warned: if your vegan dish comes with fries, unless you say in advance that you don't want (non-vegan) mayonnaise, you'll probably get some on the side.
Update: Now (in June) there's pointed cabbage massala (starter) and chilli sin carne salad, and both are good. The celeriac satay is back too.

Pros: Clear vegan options , Most dishes are excellent , Good service and wines

Always nice options! - Edit
Like the other review says, they always have a vegan option (although limited), but the food and atmosphere is nice.
