SUPER FAN!

UPDATE June 2023: No longer regularly has vegan pastries in the case. The owner Paige told me they hat they did not have much demand for them any longer after relocating to Brown Street.😭 You can still get a vegan coffee, matcha or vegan breakfast sandwich here. Drinks are no longer vegan by default (still offer plant milk options). Can call ahead to request or special order vegan pastries.

Original 2022 review:
Wow!!! I just discovered Val’s Home Bakery in Kettering, and I’m blown away by this place!! The sweetest, kindest owners and staff, a cute space with comfy seating and Wi-Fi, delicious vegan options and some of the BEST matcha I’ve ever had.

All the drinks are vegan by default (yay)! Vegan options are well-marked on the menu.

I tried the Ube Matcha latte (yum and so unique), a matcha donut (pillowy, soft cloud-like interior and crunchy sugar exterior - perfection 💚), a blackberry lemon scone (very citrus-forward and so good) and my favorite - a slice of garlic-rosemary focaccia bread.

Omg, that FOCACCIA 😩 So, so good. You MUST try it while you’re there! Moist, soft and pillowy on the inside with a crisp exterior, topped with rosemary and flaky sea salt, and full of so much flavor. It’s an actual slice of heaven. (Get there early though! It sells out quick!)

Paige, the owner, is so wonderful and you can tell she puts so much care into her work. Support local and go check out Val’s, you’ll love it!!
