Amazing location and more than one vegan option - Edit
Waiters were very friendly and helpful in identifying vegan options (they weren’t labelled vegan). Vegan bread and oils to start, vegan tomato pasta and vegan asparagus risotto. Also had vegan-friendly sides like chips and vegetables

Yummy Risotto - Edit
Multiple pasta and side options that are vegan. Got the wild asparagus risotto which was amazing! My brother got the pasta with tomato sauce which he loved. The bread is good and vegan too! Very nice staff and clarifies vegan options well.

Extremely Vegan-Friendly Owner with incredible food - Edit
The friendly owner attended us and knew exactly what was vegan, and how to adapt (and improve) dishes to be vegan. She was happy to see vegans, and we actually met several local vegans on the island surprisingly. She said that if you call ahead, she can make almost any Mediterranean dish vegan.
Read moreWe didn't call ahead, so we had vegan options from the regular menu: Risotto alla Sicily was delicious and cooked in a tomato sauce with roasted veggies like local olives, eggplant/aubergine, zucchini, mushrooms, and peppers. They also have homemade vegan Pasta alla Sicily, or vegan pasta with a simple tomato sauce. You can also order individual roasted vegetables like potatoes, etc, cooked in olive oil.
I had the Mediterranean plate as an appetizer and it was amazing. Artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, capers, and olives, dressed in olive oil. Unbelievably good local delicacies.
I also had a glass of the local white and red wines, of which I preferred the white. Order the quality wine by the glass.
In USD our meal felt inexpensive for the quality and service, and when I return to Vis one day this will be our place.
In addition to the owner being knowledgeable about veganism, our waiter and hostess also knew what was vegan. Seating is outdoor on a patio shaded by palms on the beach. There is a grocery store across the sidewalk with fruits and food for your hotel.
Pros: Vegan-Friendly Owner, Knowledgeable, well trained staff, Delicious Croatian food
