Hands down best bakery in Korea

5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am obsessed with bread and have been to a considerable amount of bakeries but nothing comes close to vake. They have a huge selection of vegan pastries and baked goods that are so delicious and high quality. I love that the owner is so passionate and dedicated to her craft and she’s such a treat. Better croissants than any outlet in korea and even many outlets in France. Owner is a miracle worker, this place is must visit. Have been back many times already.

Professional pastries and bread

Vake is a take-away bakery offering vegan and non-vegan options. They have one large shelf filled entirely with vegan bakery items, so it is easy to find them.

The bakery items generally include plain breads as well as sweet pastries, but the individual kind of items may change with the season. Classics are croissant and pain au chocolat.

You can immediately tell that the baked goods here are made by professionals! They are sooo well done! I've never had such great vegan pastries or croissants in Korea! Nobody could tell the difference between vegan and non-vegan dough.

Prices are fair. In fact, you can get more items for your money than at a cafe. The owner is super friendly and welcomes vegan customers.

As mentioned, this is not a cafe but a bakery selling for take-out only. There is no seating available indoors, just a few chairs outside...

The bakery is located in a neighborhood characterized by small buildings which are each occupied by either a cafe, bakery or small store. There are a couple of schools nearby. #Veganuary

Pros: taste good, fair prices, friendly owner

Cons: no seating

5 stars

One of the best baked goods Ive had in my life. Vakes owner is truly talented. We tried most of the vegan breads available there, and they each have their own merit.

My favorites are the croissant, choco croissant, jalapeno boomerangs, and green onion pretzels. The croissants are definitely best fresh so I recommend eating them right there outside the shop

Theres no sitting inside but 3 benches located outside under an awning, covered from sunlight.

This place is well worth going far out of your way for.

really good pastries

it’s a small space with only outside seating (just chairs) kind of out in the middle of nowhere, but it’s worth the visit

everything i tried was very good and the woman who owns it is very kind. she gave me a thorough explanation of all the vegan options and even said there are more in the testing phase.

she gave us some of this spread she made to try and i bought two to go. there is a sweet one and a savory one and they are both divine.

some of the things were sadly sold out when we got there but still lots of good options. my tip is to go early !

Best vegan pastries ever

Amazing vegan pastry options. Has separate vegan shelf in front of the entrance, and there are so many amazing pastries. Menu changes day by day, but I love all their items.

Since croffle was super trendy in Korea recently, I always wanted to try one. They do have vegan croffles, but just dm them or call them one day ahead your visit. Staffs are also super nice.

5 stars if I could

Some of the best vegan breads and pasteries, anywhere! If they were in Seoul you would have to line up.

I could eat the olive jalapeno boomerangs everyday. The croissant is the standard setter for others.

Worth the drive from Seoul.
