Stunning Vegetarian and Vegan Indian food cooked with real love

Vaibhavam is really special. Tucked away in residential Harbourne, this small family run restaurant serves some of the most expectional indian food and offers truly incredible value. The service is relaxed and friendly; the new decor is elegant, but it is the wonderful food that is the the compelling reason to eat here.
The menu is quite extensive, with a large choice of both northern and southern indian dishes including a whole vegetarian menu with vegan options. We have worked our way through the menu, trying new dishes every time we visit. The staff are always happy to help explain the menu and we love trying dishes that we have seen other customers eating. The food is always delicious, with stunning combinations of fresh ingredients and fragrant spices.
For a first visit I would recommend trying Mushroom 65 or Baby Sweetcorn Fritters; followed by Vada (crispy, freshly fried lentil flour donuts with ginger and spice) with samba served on the side; Masala Dosa (theatrically large rice and lentil crepe filled will spced potato); Keerai Kootu (a green leaf and lentil curry), Guthu Vankaya Kura (baby aubergine in a rich peanut and sesame curry sauce) and Tarka Daal; with either Mushroom rice or Tandori Roti (or both). This is enough for two or three people.
We make the trip here once a month because the incredible food makes the trip from Worcester worthwhile. If you are living in, or visiting Birmingham then you must give it a try.
Just a note, they only take cash but do not let this put you off.

Pros: Stunning flavours, Incredible value, Friendly service and great vibes

Cons: Cash only
