Wonderful Cafe - Edit
Great Cafe with plenty of healthy vegan options. Most of the menu is vegan apart from a couple of egg dishes. Very high quality and aesthetic food!

Great little cafe - Edit
Has some great vegan options, not sure why some of the smoothies etc default to non-vegan.

Cool and cosy Byron - Edit
Vagabond has a super cool vibe and spacious seating.
Read moreI ordered the mushrooms on toast and a chai tea. The chai was fabulous and the food was satisfying.
Definitely a place where you can take your laptop, catch up on emails or meet up with friends.

All very good - Edit
Pancakes with fruit and nuts and coco cream, olive and rosemary cake, pot of tea with almond milk, all very good. My friends had coffee (ok) and soup (very good). Go on, spoil yourself.

Amazing cookie - Edit
I got a cookie, chai and the NYC club sandwich.
Read moreThe cookie was the star of the show and incredible.
Chai was good.
Sandwich was good but I feel like it was lacking something, tempeh would be amazing on it and bring up to 5 stars.
Overall would go back.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Great cookies

Top notch food and coffee - Edit
The savoury dishes here are amazing - especially the turmeric rice (the tempeh is so good!), club sandwich, and mushroom toastie. I wasn’t a fan of the porridge which was too sweet and used frozen berries instead of fresh ones. Their baked goods can be good some days and very different another day. Coffee is nice and strong too! Service can be hit and miss.

Cons: Tempeh is $5 extra for two tiny strips

I am and will be a regular but room for improvement - Edit
Absolute winner in the dessert realm!! Amazing cakes, muffins and caramel slice is my absolute fave. I have, however, noticed that they’ll always try to give you the smallest cookie unless you specifically ask for a different one. They swap them no problem, but I feel like it’s a bit unfair on shy people who do not want to cause any fuss. I feel like as a business you should just accept the fact that some baked goods might come out not as expected so just give it away to staff, or at least sell on discount, but they’ll always try to sell even the broken ones so I just feel like the management really wants to monetise everything…
Read moreI love Vagabond for breakfast as well, but I feel like it lacks options. I keep on rotating on avo toast/pancakes/toastie. There’s more things on the menu, but they would kinda go into a lunch category already: salad bowls, lentil meal etc.
I guess that becomes a problem only when you like a place so much that you keep on coming back!
And as mentioned by others, they do have a bit of animal products, which I’m not too angry about but then it’s NOT plant based really (which would be FINE, however…..) and you can’t just blindly choose any smoothie. That’s the main difference between vegan and non-vegan places, as a vegan you can actually relax and put your guard down when you expect them to serve plant based foods only.
Pros: Great desserts, Spacious
Cons: Menu lacks variety , Will always try to sell the smallest cookie

We had the açai bowl which had a really nice granola throughout and the kitchari was perfect! We also got the cinnamon scrolls and a cookie to go and they were a yummy treat that didn’t last long!

Really cute but not 100% vegan - Edit
Super cute cafe but some smoothies have whey protein and serves bulletproof coffee. So feel like it shouldn’t claim to be a plant based cafe as it’s kind of misleading. But aside from that it’s great

Great brunch spot - Edit
It's an industrial area of Byron but if you come here by solar train it's a great lil adventure. Delicious birthday brunch. Just what we needed. Good chai. Nice vibe. Friendly staff.
Read moreFood was delicious. Waffles were really good texture. Wholesome. Like banana bread and great size. So many customers knew each other. So many mums with bubs like me. They really need high chairs! It's so messy feeding bubs in the pram. The toilets have nappy change facilities which are hard to find in Byron.

100% vegan food. Drinks have dairy option - Edit
Wanted to leave a positive review for this place as the only review is super harsh and simply not true. The food is 100% vegan. They provide dairy milk option for hot drinks and whey protein option for smoothies (prob because there’s a gym upstairs). I’ve been a regular since this place opened and the food is next level good. The baked goods run out the door. You won’t be disappointed.

Pretty unimpressive - Edit
The produce is definitely not local. They serve frozen vegetables transported from Victoria.
Read moreIts also not vegan. Many dishes come with dairy.
We didn't finish our meals as they were so unappetizing.
The smoothie was decent.
