So Delicious and Cozy I Had To Take More To Go - Edit
Lovely family business with lots of variety and different daily specials. They also have a free coffee/tea bar, which was exactly what I needed. The walls are decorated with art that is for sale. The music was soothing and all around a clean and cozy place. I ordered the bbq jackfruit sandwich with mac and cheese. Something in the sandwich was tangy and sour which wasn’t my thing, but otherwise it was delicious! And the blueberry cobbler was everything I ever hoped for with a scoop of vanilla vegan ice cream! Yum!

Delicious food - Edit
This is such a charming place. The food is delicious, service is friendly and the place may be small, but has a nice vibe to it. I love that she has local artwork displayed. Her sauces adds so much flavor to the dishes and the red cabbage slaw is awesome. Definitely worth driving into the city for!

Wonderful experience - Edit
I went here for a late lunch with one other vegan, and one non-vegan. We ALL enjoyed our meals and appetizer. We got the loaded nachos to start and they were absolutely amazing. Then we ordered the jackfruit sandwich, mushroom cheezesteak, and impossible burger. We also got kombuchas and am incredible fresh squeezed lemonade with agave. Great service. Totally recommend.

Getting there - Edit
Mac n cheeze is awesome, better than any other place I've been to in Delaware so far. Haven't tried too many items but the burger was good as well.

I think this is a project in transition. I know that they started as a food truck and now have a restaurant in the Little Italy section of Wilmington. You order from a tablet as you enter the restaurant. It helps to look at the printed menu first to see what they have. People are friendly and helpful. When we were there they were having a “Silent Dance Party” which involved people wearing headphones and listening to music. There were a lot of young kids there and it was a little chaotic, but we were there around 6 pm on a Saturday. I had the Mushroom Pepper Cheesesteak which was very tasty. The cheez was a little thin and runny. But the mushrooms and peppers had a rich flavor and texture. My wife had the Soul Veggie Bowl which was just a green salad. nothing special and no real dressing on it. I am looking forward to going back as I think they are honestly trying to make this a good experience for vegans and for the neighborhood. They are not perfect yet, but I am sure they are working on it.

Worth going back - Edit
Limited but decent menu. The burgers are the best I've had anywhere, hands down. Mushroom cheese steak and brownies are rad, too. Mac and cheese and the tacos are too bland. Add more Daiya cheddar, get rid of the walnut meal. If a menu is short it should be pretty near perfect.

A wonderful work in progress - Edit
I had my first lunch at V-Trap today and was underwhelmed by the food...A solid BBQ jackfruit wrap with a distinct lack of culinary creativity...A vegetable bowl (salad)—with fresh ingredients—but in a plastic container and likewise not particularly exciting to the palette...
Read moreLike the previous reviewer, I am, to be sure, ecstatic, to see another vegan restaurant in Wilmington! Their space is terrific.
And the owners—as conveyed on the V-Trap website—are enthusiastic and have a vision of a true communal space that will reenergize the neighborhood. Given this unprecedented moment in history—a plant based food revolution that is sweeping the world—the potential then is tremendous, even if the restaurant business will always be unforgiving....
The next phase for V-Trap should be, at least from this vegan vegabond’s perspective, a marked elevation of their menu. It’s healthy but lacks the textures and flavor punch that excites me so much about the possibilities of plant based cuisine.
Alternatively, I have driven miles craving lunch at Abundance Child’s truly inspired vegan cuisine at Drop Squad Kitchen.
If V-Trap can take their food to the next level, then their bigger vision can follow. Until then, it will remain a work in progress...
Pros: All vegan, Great space and atmosphere
Cons: Food lacking inspiration , Plastic containers

Just wanted to chime in that their containers are biodegradable. :-)

Amazing Food!! - Edit
I’m so glad another vegan restaurant has opened in Wilmington—and especially one this good! The menu features your standard vegan chili and nachos, but look out for the Impossible Burger which is ridiculously delicious! Creative toppings (purple cabbage?) and some incredible vegan cheese. My brain immediately recognized “hamburger” from my pre-vegan days (10+ years ago). It’s shockingly similar to a real burger. The owners are very nice and take the time to answer any questions about the menu and/or ingredients. If you’re in the area and you need to eat, you need to eat here.
