Great Affordable Vegan and Vegetarian Spot for Students - Edit
V-Café is my regular spot at LTH (Lund University's Faculty of Engineering). It's the perfect place for students looking for a quick, affordable bite with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. The vibe is relaxed and cosy, great for grabbing a sandwich or salad between classes. Since 2015, it's been student-run, offering simple, tasty food at great prices.
Read moreThey offer generous lunch sandwiches for 35 SEK and fresh salads for 45 SEK, with leftover salads available for just 25 SEK later in the day. Prices drop as the day goes on, so it's an affordable option for students. In addition to plant-based meals, they also have non-vegan options. Snacks like pastries (8 SEK), smoothies (20 SEK), and fruit (7 SEK) are also available, along with coffee for just 5 SEK if you bring your mug (7 SEK without). You can choose between regular milk and Oatly for your coffee.
The café operates self-service from 10:00 to 12:00, coinciding with lecture hours, meaning it's usually grab-and-go. From 13:00 to 15:00, volunteers are available to assist you. While V-Café is ideal for a quick snack or meal, it's not a place for its relaxing fika. Many study spaces are available, making it an excellent spot for eating and studying simultaneously.
V-Café is an excellent option for anyone looking for an affordable, quick, plant-based meal in a student-friendly environment. Whether you're on a tight schedule or on a break, it's worth visiting.
Pros: Affordable, generous portions., Great for studying and free wifi.
Cons: Only accepts Swish and card payments, no cash :/
