Great market

I love this market. It doesn’t smell fishy! They also have some great vegan options. I found a vegan bao bun and tofu noodles in the prepared section.

Love this Asian Market

Their bookstore is amazing. The food selection is huge! My family took me there since 3rd grade and since then I am in love with the chain and their prices.

Pros: Vegan options, Wide variety, Clean and fresh produce

Cons: Cheap

Super Grocery Store!

I love coming here! They have a great selection of pan-Asian pantry items. The produce section has a wide variety of green vegetables not commonly found at other markets, fresh mushrooms, and tropical fruits. The store also has imported kitchenwares like nabe pots, rice cookers, bowls, chopsticks, Korean beauty products, toys, and stationery.
Kinokuniya (a Japanese bookstore) is also in the same building and is a must go to also!

In the deli, I have found teriyaki tofu musubi!
They also have the cutest reusable bags. Whenever I use these bags at home, the cashiers always ask where I got them, and I tell them they have to go to the Pacific Northwest.

Stock up on vegan Asian pantry and freezer items, enjoy the Asian produce

Once every few months, I have to make the trek to the Beaverton to stock up on my favorites at Uwajimaya. Here are a few things that find their way into my shopping cart every time: Pantry: vegan dashi and pho concentrates (soups), dried shiitake mushrooms, dried seaweeds, jarred sauces and vinegars, seasonings, dried noodles. Freezer: Sun noodles (check ingredients!), udon noodles, dumpling wrappers, lumpia wrappers, steamed buns, spring rolls, flatbreads, dumplings, mochi. Refrigerated: kimchee, pickles, noodles, tofu, miso. Produce: japanese sweet potatoes, chinese greens. Treats: Korean dried ramen, sweet bean desserts.

Pros: Selection, selection, selection, Sake selection, Large bags of rice - selection

Cons: Can be spendy, Crowded on weekends, Have to avoid all the seafood - read labels!
