CLOSED: UVe - Vegan Tapas

Vegan options in Spain are often sketchy so we were delighted to find UVe.

The tapas were all excellent. We arrived right at their opening hour so the selections were s bit limited but as we ate more choices were offered.

The chefs are very creative and the tapas looked like fine canapés.

We plan to return again, probably a bit later at the more typical Spanish dining time!

Yum! The food here is so good. It is all vegan and displayed behind the counter so you can just go up and choose what you want. The staff are also super friendly, even when we were purchasing almost all of the food and the chef had to rush to make more for their other customers ;)

If you are visiting Alicante.. you really must go to this please. REALLY. Everything they had was super delicious, totally vegan, and soooo cheap as well! I loved it. I even took my non-vegy parents there.. and they also enjoyed the food.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Everyone inside (staff and customers) were wonderful. The food and atmosphere were so agreeable that after our initial order we went back twice more for different plates. UVe is a great place to experience the perfect leisurely Spain lunch and well worth a visit if you are in Alicante. Like most Tapas bars you order at the display case on the bar and then the staff brings your plates to your table. This works well if your Spanish is lacking as you can just point and smile and be perfectly understood.

Uve vegan tapas is a bar made with love, absolute attention to detail and, of course, the food is exquisite with high quality products. The staff is also exceptional. One of the best places that you can find in Alicante.
