Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-4:00pm. Closed Sat & Sun.

Fantastic food, packed with flavors. They do not use any oils. All clean and delicious food. Owner, Brenda, is super nice and helpful/knowledgable. It is located within an industrial park type complex and has a small indoor seating area. Loved the tacos, sopes, charcoal lemonade and the guava cake🤤

The hours are limited, but if you're nearby and needing lunch, this is a great place to go. The menu is just the right size between big enough, but not overwhelming. I got three tacos (birria, carne asada, and papas con chorizo) and they were all excellent. I think that I liked the carne asada best though.

This place is exactly what Chula Vista needed! I ordered three tacos—mole, chile colorado, and rajas con crema—and a mango smoothie. Everything was absolutely delicious; I devoured it all before I even thought of taking a picture 😭 The flavors were incredible, and I can’t wait to come back. Muchas gracias!

My wife and I dined at Uumbal for the first time today. What a treat to find a vegan eatery that serves Whole Food Plant Based meals, uses no oil, and offers date-sweetened (and mostly gluten-free) desserts!

Brenda researched the benefits and learned to prepare WFPB vegan meals, which have contributed to keeping her mother alive and thriving to this day.
In addition to Uumbal, Brenda became a nutritional health coach focused on personalized meal prep and cleanses for people suffering from various medical issues. A true vegan inspiration!

Unassuming restaurant but the food is amazing! We definitely needed a place like this here in Chula. The menu seems to change a bit (been twice in the past week) but is standard tacos, sopes, quesadillas, tostadas and a few other items. They have a bunch of juices made in house to accompany your meal. The “cheese” and “crema” are some of the best I’ve ever had. Entrees are a mix of veggies and fake meats-all super tasty!! The owner is super nice as well and welcoming. I’m recommending this place to all my friends and family, vegans and omnivores alike.

I found this Uumbal on HappyCow after having a meeting nearby. The owners are a mother–daughter team, and they were very friendly and passionate about plant based food. I wasn’t sure what to get so they helped me decide on a crunchy taco, gordita, and a tostada. All three were delicious and reasonably priced. The hot sauce was a perfect blend of heat and flavor. I’ll definitely be back.

This is the first completely vegan place I've seen in Chula Vista, I always have to drive up north for options that aren't burger king. everything I've had so far has been so good! the food is fresh and feels homemade. The workers are so friendly and helpful. Definitely gonna keep coming back here!
