Excellent value - Edit
My experience in this restaurant felt a little like meeting new neighbors. The host was warm and kind but not at all invasive and the food was exceptional. I think value for money was right on par with the quality of the food. The V Pho was excellent and i tried some of the meat substitute which was also excellent. They were even kind enough to offer a 10% covid discount which was both kind and funny. Great experience.

OG - Edit
I’ve been to Kingsland so many times over the years, and it’s still great. Naturally there have been some times where it hasn’t been great, and the staff have either been super bloody good or really lost and rude. Overall, I recommend this place, it’s a safe and nice environment. Very casual and lovely owners.
Read moreI recommend eggplant fritters (AMAZING), chicken balls and fried rice. P.S. Wednesday’s are 30% off with cash 😬

Solid restaurant with tons of options - Edit
Very large and varied all vegan menu, would definitely recommend! If you like faux meat, you will be very happy with all of your options (faux duck, chicken, ham, beef, and more), and if you’re more a fan of vegetables and tofu you’ll still be happy. I highly recommend the lemongrass tofu with a side of steamed rice.

Exceptional food - Edit
First time friends and I went for a meal. All entrees were delicious (fried eggplant/sweet potato cakes/corn fitters and curry puffs) and the vegetable curry was fabulous. My meat eating friends loved all dishes too and enjoyed the vegetables in the birds nest. Service is great too and the restaurant is not noisy - all in all a fabulous evening.

Went here for mother's day dinner and despite very slow service (they were very understaffed but very apologetic), it was great. The food was excellent. A wide variety of dishes, and all of them very delicious.
Read moreIt was also very cheap with 6 adults only totalling AUD165, including entrees, mains, desserts and a few non-alcoholic beers.
Will definitely be going back here either eat in or takeaway.

Never a disappointment, always a delight! - Edit
We love eating at Kingsland any time - birthdays, special occasions, lazy weeknight dinners. Every menu option we've tried was delicious. We love the dim sims, satay fish, creamed corn soup, fried rice, sago pudding...it's all delicious. They also offer several gluten-free options throughout. The staff are lovely and polite. The best thing is that the menu is extremely affordable, so you can have a family style meal with a satisfying variety of dishes.
Read moreAugust 2018 Update: With sadness I've changed my rating to four stars because they no longer offer an array of gluten-free options. My favorite, the satay fish, now has gluten throughout. For those without allergies I still encourage you to try this place out as the staff remain lovely and the food just delicious.
Pros: Very affordably priced, Beautiful vegetables and no meat!
Cons: No longer has full array of gluten-free options

Exceptional Tasty and Great for My Wallet - Edit
The food was delicious, I had the satay vegetables and rice and I absolutely loved it. The sauce was flavourful but wasnt oily. My partner had the "beef" rendang and she loved it too, only complaint was rendang is susposed to be a dry curry. Given we're both poor students we were extremely happy to find a place in our price range and with quality food. If you're in dickson I would highly recommend this place.

Delicious, fast and kid friendly - Edit
Wow this place is a gem! Full vegan menu with vast range of vegetable-based, tofu and plant-based meat dishes. Inexpensive, creative, fast and friendly service. Casual and busy atmosphere meant the kids felt welcome and we were able to order a range of dishes they could pick and choose from. Generous drink sizes. Ordered too much as wanted to try it all (!) but they were happy for us to take the leftovers home.

Eat here! - Edit
This places rules. Eat here as soon as you can. I got the bird's nest, which was as exciting to look at as it was to eat. I also got dumplings to start and some soup, both of which hit the spot. There was tons of food, so I had some leftovers to enjoy cold the next day. I highly recommend over-ordering!

Great little gem - Edit
A great place to eat for vegans, vegetarians and non-vegs alike! I've taken a lot of my non-veg friends here and all of them enjoyed it. It's tucked away in a corner in Dickson and many people aren't aware of it. I always recommend it! The interior decor is a little dated and rough, which can be a turn-off, but don't be deterred. The food is awesome, staff are friendly and service is quick even when it is busy. They have a lot of faux meat products which are surprisingly tasty, and I'm personally not an overly huge fan of meat replicas. Updated from previous review on 2017-01-15

Great Mock "Duck" with US Embassy Friends - Edit
A longtime vegan, I came through Canberra for two days to visit omnivore friends at the US Embassy here. We ordered a bunch of different dishes; my amazing dish was the #62 "Roast Duck" - crispy strips of roasted soy "duck" drizzled with a special pepper sauce and served on freshly sliced lettuce. The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol but is very accommodating about BYO from another store in the same mall. Updated from previous review on 2016-10-30

Always good - Edit
I go to Canberra every Summer to visit family and always have a meal at Kingland. I must have been there more than a dozen times in the last decade. It is Asian cookery with mock meat which is not to everyone's taste, but for those who like this style of food it is a delight. Of course, they offer tofu and vegie dishes if you aren't into mock meat; but the mock meat is what I go there for. he chicken drumsticks (made from bean curd skin, wrapped around a piece of bamboo and then fried) is the best thing ever. The golden curry dishes are superb as are the noodle based dishes. I usually prefer fish but I've also tried the duck, pork and chicken here. Never once had a bad meal, and am looking forward to my next visit in December.

Best vegan food in canberra! - Edit
Kingsland has the best vegan food in Canberra! They have a huge menu that is clearly labelled with gluten free options as well. They have a great range of vegan gluten free entrees which was a lovely surprise! The crunchy wontons, dumplings, veggie crackers and dim sims were amazing. All their ingredients are plant-based and natural. Absolutely none of their ingredients come from any animal. They have a huge selection of mock meats for those who enjoy them. There is something for everyone here even if your not vegan! i highly recommend visiting if your in Canberra!

Fake Chicken Love - Edit
My meal was amazing and the soy chicken pieces were absolutely delicious. I also ordered the drumsticks and they came out looking exactly what you have come to expect from a chicken drumstick and they could easily have been mistaken as real. The complimentary tea was also highly appreciated.
