Lovely place to stay

One of our favourite places to stay in all of Mexico and Guatemala so far. Lovely vibe around the place. 100% Vegetarian but the dinner was easily made vegan upon request. Food was great while we were there. Beautiful setting and lovely staff. A little disappointing it's not 100% vegan, considering their ethos and all the good work they do it would seem fitting to shift to veganism. None the less we loved it there and wish we could have booked any extra night!

best hostel in Guatemala

I travelled for 10 weeks throughout Central America and this is the hostel I liked the most. You're surrounded by beautiful nature, the construction of the hostel itself is really nice (the dorm is great!) and the volunteers and guests staying there are super friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. It's also nice not having to worry about the food, the menu is completely vegeterian (can be adapted to vegan, gluten-free).

Just bear in mind that's "in the middle of nowhere" and that it will take you a while to get there (you normally go in the back of a pick up truck). There are no shops & stores close, so stock up with some snacks if you want to.

It's so worth going there. Plan definitely more than one night. I'd say at least 3 so you can fully enjoy the nature and relax.

Pros: nature (Semuc Champey!), vibe of the hostel
