Closed?

I tried to visit Urpillay six times in September 2016 and it was never open. There's a beautiful mural on the wall in front of the new(-ish) location, but the gate was always locked. There was no sign indicating when or whether they would be back.

Saving grace in Urubamba Valley

My wife and I ate here twice and got lemonade once on our recent trip to Urubamba. I was disappointed to find out that the vegetarian burger has egg in it, but we got the Vegan Sandwich, and it was great, albeit just a simple roll with avocado, lettuce and tomato, with fries. This is one of those places where you just need to give them the benefit of the doubt that the roll is vegan. The fresh juices and lemonade are great too.

Pros: Vegan options, Nice staff, Free wifi

Cons: Serves meat

Good, basic food for those on a budget

As of May, 2015 they currently have a veggie and non-veggie meal of the day. Both cost 8 soles. The day I went, the veggie meal came with wonton soup, pallares (a thick bean), white rice and 3 small sweet potato pancakes. I wish there had been some color on the plate, but it looked rather bland. They have one table outside, and about 5 inside. They also have books for sale & exchange, plus board games to play. Also free WiFi. I bought one of the brownies for dessert and it was very good. Coffee and teas served as well.

Pros: Price, Food reasonably good

Cons: Bland presentation
