Great Little plant base restaurant - Edit
We were passing through and used Happy Cow and found this restaurant. Everything is plant base. They have a decent selection. Wished we live close by. The food and staff was great.

Amazing quaint vegan spot - Edit
Urbavore is an amazing spot for Lynchburg, and any vegan or vegetarian in town must try it! However it doesnt live up to a lot of restaurants in larger cities. The food is tasty and the options are good, it's just a quaint place.

Just okay. - Edit
I was extremely excited to try this place, as reviews were good.
Read moreNot familiar with this town in anyway, I found that that this cafe was extremely easy to find. Parking was a breeze for a Friday afternoon. Plenty of street parking spots.
The atmosphere:
Upon walking up, you will pass through quaint outdoor seating spots. This would be my preferred seating option, if available. Inside doesn't feel nearly as inviting with the black, narrow hall feel. I did find the 70's light fixtures and the trip hop to be fun and unique. Staff was average. Not outgoing, but not rude either.
The best space was the restroom! Decor was fun with pictures and a wide array of mirrors in fun frames.
Pros: Fair prices

Awesome Vegan Comfort Food - Edit
A haven for local and visiting vegans, Urbavore is the only vegan restaurant in town. My husband and I eat here once or twice a month. They recently added a pub fish sandwich to their menu which is incredible. I usually get the mac and cheese as a side, but the sweet potato chips are really good too. My husband loves the reuben burger and the buffalo ranch burger. We've had almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed, these are just our current favorites.

Pros: Delicious comfort food, Fast service, Cute atmosphere
Cons: Can get crowded, Closed for dinner during the week

Wonderful food - Edit
Great food and the prices are absolutely reasonable! So many options. The Mac and cheese was just like the real thing. The biscuits are flaky and you get two for only three dollars! The cheesecake and donuts were delicious. Waffles were crispy and perfect. The chicken ( fried and breaded cauliflower ) tasted great with the waffles ( just needed more syrup ) and has a slight spice to them but nothing over powering at all. If seating for three wasn’t so difficult I would love to go back each day we are here.

Lynchburg’s Vegan Gem - Edit
Urbavore has delicious food that will even impress meat lovers! My boyfriend ordered the Philly Cheesteak, which was his favorite food before going plant-based. He was thoroughly impressed. I treated myself to the Belgian Waffle and Taters & Kale. My order was unbelievably delicious and I was very pleased they use 100% pure maple syrup. We also took a friend there who isn’t vegan and he loved his meal. This place has everything a vegan could want, unless that is, you’re gluten free. It’s a downfall of many vegan restaurants. I am gluten conscious due to an intolerance and treat myself on very rare occasion. They offer no gluten free bread and had only 2 readily gluten free options: sweet potato chips and soup. There are salads which can be customized to be gluten free, but when I go to a fully vegan restaurant my expectations are much higher!

Some of the best vegan Burgers I have had! They make their own. Their cheesecake is amazing and my girlfriend loves her crabby sliders.

Everything you could want! - Edit
So amazing! Had mac ‘n’ cheese, Caesar salad, Bahn Mi Sandwich with a side of tots/kale and a chocolate scone. Loved it so much I got the breakfast of Champignons togo with extra biscuits and gravy. My mom was with me (not vegan) and was blown away by how good everything was. We even too stuff back to my Dad and SO (neither vegan) and they loved it too!

Delicious burgers! 🌱 - Edit
So happy this 100% vegan restaurant has popped up in Lynchburg. Their sweet potato chips, which come as a side with ever burger, are AMAZING. I personally recommend the Reuben Burger. 😋 Haven’t tried their breakfast plates yet but I look forward to it!

Delicious - Edit
I wish the food was a little healthier and the salads were larger ($5 gets you about a cup of Caesar), but it’s incredibly delicious. I just moved to Lynchburg from Santa Cruz so I was very pleasantly surprised to find a vegan restaurant that all of my meat-eating friends love. Definitely recommend!

The best sweet potato crisps EVER - Edit
The sweet potato crisps, which come with the sandwiches, are to die for. Thin, crispy perfection. The Reuben sandwich was very good. Sauce and slaw were spot on. The Mac and cheese was sadly very disappointing- not cheesy or even cheezy. It tasted like a slightly pepped up version of macaroni salad with a tangy aftertaste. Very odd.

American Cusine vegan Style - Edit
If you want Mac and Cheese, they have you covered! Or a delicious Cesar Salad! Oh, and Cheese Cake too! I found the menu selection the be plenty for this cafe style place in downtown Lynchburg. Not much seating inside, but if you get things to go they use paper bags and more environmentally friendly containers. Still plastics though!
