An absolutely wonderful experience - Edit
My wife booked a table at Urban Tandoor as a birthday treat for me. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really vibrant and welcoming. The staff could not be more friendly and were extremely attentive.
Read moreThey gave me a birthday drink. The food itself was very well made and presented. My wife is not a fan of spicy curries these days and they toned her meal down beautifully. I even got a piece of cake for a birthday treat after eating. They were at pains to ensure I knew it was vegan. This despite their only clue being I had asked for the Vegan menu an an hour and a half earlier.
In all it was a really special meal.
This would be an easy 5 star review, but the restaurant is not totally vegan 💚

Urban Tandoori is a lovely restaurant - aesthetically great and a brilliant overall vibe.
Read moreThe food is nice, but note that you need to ask for the vegan menu. For some inexplicable reason, there are no vegan options in the main menu, they are all kept separately. Rest assured though, it's an extensive and tasty menu.
I've seen that they go all out for birthdays etc either singing and dancing etc. We went on a normal weeknight with nothing special going on, but, to be honest, I preferred that. No gimmicks - just a great restaurant.

Worth a visit - Edit
Really nice place, with helpful and lovely staff. They even made a drink for me because their mango lassi has yoghurt in. A little bit kitschy but it makes it cosy.

What a gem! - Edit
Found this restaurant on Happy Cow. Fantastic decor, almost like a Greek taverna with branches, vines and fairy lights hanging from the ceiling. Lots of positive affirmations written on the walls and staff t-shirts. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Separate, extensive vegan menu. I had the Dal Makhini which was more stew like than curry but very tasty. Would highly recommend and I shall definitely be returning.

I had an amazing red been cake apatizer along with a Vegitarian Paneer Curry. About 1/3 of the menu was Vegetarian with a handful of vegan offerings as well.
