A nice pearl in Petrich and surrounding - Edit
Tiny, sweet, tasty, quality, and such a friendly hardworking people. We love to come there and eat good vegan food. Meet people of all country’s and of Bulgary and hang around. This place lifts us up. And it’s a must for us in a surrounding where surviving is the usual attitude. Here we feel live and hooe again.

Urban Picnic is like someone managed to teleport a cozy vegan coffee from Berlin, Amsterdam or London to this small town of Petrich, located close to the Greek border. Not only it is the single vegan option in Petrich, but also in the ENTIRE South-Western part of the country. If you leave Sofia heading to Greece, there is just no other place to offer you vegan burgers, Basmati rice, home-made hummus, etc. etc.... In fact, this seems to be the only vegan place from Sofia to Thessaloniki. By the way, Urban Picnic would definitely be in the top 5 of the vegan/vegetarian places if it was in Sofia and it would personally be my favourite one. In addition to their daily menu, they also make smoothies, sweets, they sell vegan chocolates. The place is run by a young guy and his girlfriend who are friendly and nice. They do their job with attention to the tiniest detail possible, including the recycling of the packaging. I really recommend it with both hands. I hope that Urban Picnic will be there for many, many years and maybe expand to other cities.
