Vegan food in a meat market - Edit
Pad Thai was super good. Wish I could have tried more things. Very nice honest guy to talk with. Probably going to be a bit rough locating if you hate the sight of meat.

Somewhere in between - Edit
This little food stall is located in San Anton Market, it kind of smells like meat, fish and cheese everywhere which I found a bit strange. The seating area could be nicer.
Read moreThe service was somewhat strange, although the guy was nice and made smalltalk with the customers, when asking him about what kind of drinks he has, he just pointed at the menu and said "this."
Thanks, I can read but I would have loved more details or a recommendation.
I ordered a cheese sandwich which was good, although I would have expected something else. It consisted of spread cheese, onions, cherry tomatoes and lettuce. Not quite worth the price (close to 6 euros)
We paid around 17 euros for two smoothies, one if them in a coconut which was nice, and the mentioned sandwich. I would rate it with $ out of $$$ if being honest.
Maybe I should give this place another chance, the ravioli sounded nice but Madrid is just too big and (luckily) has many vegan places to try.
I still think that some other things on the menu are more worth the price and the cakes looked awesome. My review is based on my order though.
Pros: Small talk with the chef / owner , Good smoothie in a coconut
Cons: Quite expensive and not too special

Delicious - Edit
Had the pleasure of having my final meal in Madrid here. It’s clear that Elliot puts thought into his food. I had the spicy pad thai and one of the cake slices (forget what it was called but had blueberry it in). Both very delicious! Thank you for the wonderful food and service Elliot!

Just go here! Delicious food! - Edit
We went here for dinner as it had such good reviews and we were disappointed. It is a small place inside a market and doesn’t have loads of dishes but they are all vegan and all yummy. We had the cheese ravioli and I had pad Thai was spicy but very tasty and my friend had the kale salad, which also had such good flavour. All the food had really interesting flavours! Even though we also shared a chocolate orange cake we still cake away feeling light and not stuffed. I’ll definitely be trying more raw food in future. The owner Elliott is also really friendly. We had a great time. Thank you!

Our favorite food spot in Madrid - Edit
During our 6-day stay in Madrid, we have tried quite a few of the vegan restaurants around. Urban Orchard is our FAVORITE by far, and we went there again for our last meal before flying back.
Read moreElliott, the owner, master chef and raw-vegan brain behind these delicious recipes has really become exceptional at marrying tastes in a powerful, yet always balanced way.
I had encountered raw-vegan food a couple years ago, but I believe eating at Urban Orchard has fueled in me the desire to really explore more of what this approach of nutrition and gastronomy offers.
Eating at Urban Orchard, despite its tiny location and sometimes modest looks, is an experience that everyone should have at some point in their lives. I have had the chance to eat food from 3-Michelin-star chefs, and I would, without hesitation, say that I will remember the dishes from Urban Orchard with similar fondness.
When in Madrid, try it, at least once, even just for an afternoon snack. Have the "Cheese Ravioli", drink the "Bananarama". It might change the way you look at fresh, raw produce for ever.
Pros: Fresh, raw, made in front of you, Inspired, creative food, Mind-blowing tastes
Cons: 2 tables only

Just what I needed! - Edit
I was looking for something healthy and delicious and I found just that at Urban Orchard! It was hard to decide what to get, it all sounded amazing. I got the Popeye Punch smoothie because I had a cold, so Elliot added more ginger for me. He was the kindest person! I went back and we got to try the raw cheesecake. YUM!! This is definitely a place to check out when you're in Madrid. Good food, nice service, what more could you ask for? :~)

Hesitating - Edit
Im not so sure, i love some things in here like the raw food, something quick to grab, a healthy option. Not so easy to find in Madrid healthy raw food, even in the vegan restaurants. But some things i dont like, mostly it is situated in an old covered market, where there is mostly fish and meat everywhere, the smell is simply disgusting. I am from Madrid and i have avoided going to those markets for ages, its simply not my kind of tea. And putting a vegan place in there, makes no sense at all! There used to be another vegan restaurant in this ugly market, the restaurant was great, Botanique and recently they moved and opened up Pizzi Dixie, one of my favourites vegan places in Madrid. I see the same for Urban Orchard, if they just moved to another clean place... and i would like to add the prices are quite expensive too. So if the owner is reading this, go ahead mate, you are doing a great job with your healthy raw food, just change your place, there is no point in going to a fish and meat market to find a vegan nice place

Guilt-free gluttony - Edit
What a lovely place to eat out without feeling guilty about dining out. Every time I go I order way too many dishes because I live far away and take advantage of me being there. All ingredients are very healthy and everything is homemade. It reminds me of the types of places in California where I’m from which is comforting being abroad. I came here because of happy cow and met the owner Elliot who is very friendly and passionate about veganism and healthy eating. All the food I’ve tried there so far has been amazing. My favorite is the Pad Thai, hummus and Pesto zucchini pasta for savory and the lemon cake and orange chocolate cake for desserts. I also went when I was sick to get a healthy boost of a very powerful ginger shot. Highly recommend this place!

Amazing vegan raw food spot - Edit
Great hole-in-the-wall counter service spot inside the Mercado Antón Martín. Serves predominantly raw vegan dishes along wiih fresh juices and smoothies. Note that there are only two tables, so expect to share a table or eat while standing. Owner prefers not to package food to go. I'm not generally a huge raw food fan, but really enjoyed a healthier/clean/green meal on my last night, after a week of... heavier dishes. I had the Popeye's Punch green smoothie, a raspberry "cheesecake", and raw Pad Thai, which was one of my favorite raw dishes I've ever had. Owner is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys chatting with the customers. It's basically a one-person show, and menu items run out by the end of the day. Inquire before making up your mind. Keeps the same hours as the market, so closed on Sundays.
