Tasty food, several vegan options

This is a great place to sit outdoors (pedestrianized B street). The food is very tasty. We had the Gobi Manchurian which was apparently amazing - it looked deep fried which is enough to put me off unless I’m certain they don’t share the oil with non vegan stuff. The momo didn’t score so highly only ok, but the biryani hit a home run - nice flavor and some kick without being OTT. Paired with Roti it was excellent.

Pros: Tasty food, Outside pedestrianized seating.

Cons: Confirm deep fried oil is not used with meat.

Just confirmed, the cauliflower (gobi) is deep fried in oil shared with meat. :(

Blown away by the vegan greatness

Numerous high quality vegan options to choose from. This is one of those places that I'll come to whenever I'm in the area (dine in and take out). Wonderful.

Pros: High quality ingredients, Excellent flavor, Nice atmosphere (Nepalese Themed)

Cons: A little loud

Great food, lots of vegan options, all marked on the menu

Their momos are amazing. All of the vegan options are clearly marked.

The food can be on the spicy side (especially the chili momos) so if you have a low tolerance, definitely try the jhol and fried momos.

Decent variety of vegan options

They have a decent variety of vegan options including Momos, samosas, and gobi Manchurian chow mein noodles bowl. This is a go to restaurant especially for Indo Chinese near me, nice that the spice level is adjustable

So Flavorful

I first discovered this place on Uber Eats, but it was a separate account than Urban Momo called “Modern Vegan Indian” and I thought that it was a dedicated vegan restaurant. When I tried searching for it to actually go there in person, I found out that it only exists within the not fully vegan Urban Momo restaurant. I was a bit disappointed since I feel less confident ordering from restaurants that also serve animal products. Also, for a place that advertises a fully vegan menu on delivery apps, the staff here isn’t well equipped to answer questions about allergens. But still giving it four stars, it’s worth all of the extra effort to make sure that your food is made vegan (I should note that no modifications had to be made to my order to make it vegan, it was just a hassle confirming that it was, in fact, vegan). It’s some of the most comforting, authentic, flavorful food that I’ve ever had. I’ve had the Gobi Manchurian, Aloo Gobi, Chana Masala, Chow Mein, and Samosas. Everything has that wow factor. You also get to choose your level of spice. Medium is decently spicy without being over the top. It is on the pricier side for the portion sizes, but the quality of the food is excellent. I constantly crave this food!

Pros: Flavor flavor flavor

Cons: Staff could be more knowledgeable about menu
