Offers vegan options like butternut squash w/ mustard greens pesto sandwich and a BLT w/ grilled organic local tofu & vegenaise. The rest of the menu items can use tofu or portobello as a substitute. Has separate grill. Sells a variety of local vegan, gluten free, organic products and desserts. Also offers local fresh pressed juice, locally roasted fair trade/fair wage coffee, vegan soaps, has CSA program. Accepts EBT. MAY 2015 CLOSED, POSSIBLY MOVING - let happycow know when it reopens. Open Tue-Fri 11:00am-7:00pm, Sat-Sun 11:00am-5:00pm.

The food is as delicious as the atmosphere. This place has character! You can find menus in a mailbox. Much of the furniture is hand-made. The staff is quite friendly and the service is quick. Items that are both vegan and vegetarian are clearly marked on the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the french onion soup and falafel samich. I'll be back to try something else!

Great vegan sandwiches! - Edit
Urban Cannibals is an adorable little deli in East Atlanta Village with delicious veg options. Their tofu-TLT is my favorite sandwich on the menu (they offer vegenaise!!) and they have a few other vegan-friendly options as well. They also have vegan soup, pasta salad, sides, and salads. This place is adorable, the staff is friendly, and the sandwiches are awesome. Perfect lunch spot or for picking up to-go food.
Pros: Clearly marked vegan options, Cute deli in EAV, Delicious tofu
Cons: Minimal seating
