Filling breakfast - Edit
My partner were in Birmingham overnight and this was a handy place for breakfast. He went for the Vegan Breakfast which was well portioned and had the standard beans, veggie sausages, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes along with sourdough toast with olive oil, smashed avocado and harissa tofu. I had pancakes with yoghurt and compote. The pancakes were light and fluffy. We were really impressed.

Even more vegan options than before - Edit
They’ve really ramped up the vegan options and it’s great to see so much choice. I had the biscoff pancakes this time and were delicious

On my doorstep - Edit
I've been waiting for this place to reopen post lockdown - they have a great menu with some great vegan options. I finally had chance to get a vegan sausage bap today which comes with two non-meat substitute sausages (more of a potato and veg kind of sausage but very nice) and pan fried mushrooms with thyme on a toasted sourdough roll. My bread knowledge isn't all that great but I don't think it was sour dough? Huge bag, tiny box - felt a little deflated when I looked inside the bag. At £4.95 I'm not sure I would have this again but not writing the place off either.

If you like your breakfasts and fancy coffees and don't mind paying a little over the norm then this is the place for you.
£2.00 for 2x toast
£3.25 for porridge
£4.95 for vegan sausage bap
£9.75 for vegan brekkie
Pros: Good selection, Lots of seating, Fresh food
Cons: Not much waiting room if busy, Service could be friendlier

Looks nice, but boring food - Edit
The menu has some vegan/ veggie options, but I would not go here again. The food is very bland and not very well made. I tried the avocado toast and the vegan sausage bap. Good sourdough though. Not very good coffee, but the hot chocolate (I had it with almond milk) was pretty good. And the place is nice, with two floors.

Can get a bit rowdy - Edit
I really like Urban. It’s a great place to eat and the food is great quality. It’s sometimes let down by the bottomless brunch clientele who tend to get a bit rowdy and ruin the chill vibe for the rest of their customers.

Cons: Not the best atmosphere on weekends
